Our client is seeking a Wireline Supervisor to be based offshore on a permanent basis.
You MUST have the following experience and skills to be the successful candidate.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs and controls Contractor’s activities involved in carries out site Wireline operations to provides Reservoir and Petroleum Engineers with detailed information on the nature and behavior of fluids in the wells during productions or injections. Plans and programs Wireline activities to ensure all Reservoir Development Division’s requirements are met. Coordinates with drilling to ensure continuity of pre and post completion carries out for new or worked over wells. Coordinates with concerned personnel for movement for Wireline units. (Works covers oil producers, water injectors and gas wells in Field).
Principal Accountabilities:
- Ensures adherence to Company’s Health safety & Environmental rules, regulations and technical standards. Witness Wireline surveys conducted by services companies, assures & validates the survey results prior dispatch to Field.
- Prepares slick line operations, including contract services and spare parts for wireline tools and equipment, consumable down whole tools such as safety valves, separations sleeves controls and monitors such services, participates in HSEMS auditing for WireLine operations.
- Assists the Senior WireLine supervisor valuates technically slick line services companies, prepares scopes of work / tender and evaluates service company’s bids, proposals and assesses performance / capabilities and reports to PPETL with appropriate recommendations, validates invoices prior to approval.
- Coordinates with Service Company’s crews, equipment WireLine unit prior mobilizations to the field location, with logistics Division for the crew movement to and from site and coordinates with Logging supervisor to ensure the completions of tubing check prior moving logging equipment to operations site.
- Coordinates with Fields and Drilling Divisions to identify specifications, quantity and minimum stock of all slick line down whole tools for new wells or wells to be worked over. Coordinates with Commercial Division and ensures the availability of all the wireline down whole tools and consumable items not provided by contractors and initiates / originates related services order and contacts purchase order request.
- Ensures that contractors are fully aware of and adhere to safety rules, regulations and standards. Checks and ensures that contractor’s personnel are fully aware of the procedures prior to WireLine operations on gas wells. Ensures validity of contractor equipment certifications prior any Wireline job.
- Coordinates with HSED and make sure that work force a fully in accordance with the company regulations and procedures, maintains a high level of awareness with group safety meetings and a tool box talk in daily basis at the well site and carries out audits in WireLine and logging sites to ensures the compliance of the company rules.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by T/L such as generating spreadsheet based programs and charts for easy analysis of data, attending meetings and writing technical reports.
- Communications & Organisational Relationships:
- Daily contacts within the Assets up to Team/ Sections level to coordinates and follows up work progress.
- Daily contacts with Manager Towers & Pipeline Operations and Logging Supervisor to coordinates progress of Logging jobs and related wireline activities.
- Daily contacts with Contractor’s personnel up to Operations coordinator level to discuss job requirements / preparations.
- Works according to established procedures works plan, operating procedures and safety standards for Wireline and logging.
- Works according to company established policy, procedures, approved work programs and professional engineering standards.
- Completed works is subject to reviews by Manager Towers & Pipeline Operations via daily reports.
Minimum Qualification and Skills Required
- B.Sc degree in Petroleum/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 - 6 Years’ experience in Wireline / Logging activities of which at least 3 years in Offshore Supervisor capacity with knowledge of PC operations.
- Good Knowledge of English.
- Over 4 + years of experience in Wireline Supervisor role
- Over 3 years of experience in offshore operations.
- Well servicing knowledge of downhole engineering.
- Excellent knowledge of subsurface engineering.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Good English language.
- Computer utilization skills (MS Office and specialized software)
- Capability in planning and strategic thinking.
- Can work well under pressure and good decision making.
