Job Details
1. Job Purpose:
- Supervises, monitors, control and coordinates the operation. Responsible for a safe, economical and trouble free operation and safe emergency handling of the production facilities by providing effective leadership and coordination among the Production Units and other Departments. Also responsible for implementation of the company HSE policy and Companies Oil/Gas production, Processing and Water Injection targets. Ensures the Company’s production targets are met in terms of quality and quantity. Co-ordinates the routine/ planned maintenance activities, including issuing work permits for maintenance jobs, shutting-down, starting-up equipment to ensure that plant’s operation is not interrupted.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Ensure Compliance of Safe Operations at the WHT Production Facilities. Ensures subordinates and contractors are fully aware and adhere to Company’s HSE programme, procedures, standards and systems.
- Reports, investigates accidents/ incidents and makes necessary recommendation for improvement. Conducts risk assessments, toolbox meetings and prepare/ review special procedures for non-routine operations and maintenance activities.
- Carries out safety audit of the plant on weekly basis for any unsafe situation. Conducts regular safety meetings with subordinates
- Ensures that latest versions of all required operating procedures, check list and manuals are available in LCR and all previous versions are removed.
- Responsible for implementation and maintenance of work permit system during his job rotation, reviews PTW and attend daily permit meetings.
- Ensure use of personnel protective in the processing facilities. Ensures regular inspection and checks through routine checks schedule.
- Maintains good housekeeping standard and follows ADMA OPCO Health, Safety and Environmental Policies. Ensures strict compliance/ adherence to Waste Management system and ISO 14001 requirements/ recommendations related to own activities.
- Notifies the details of all safety incidents on the Production facility to the Team Leader Operations. Ensure implementation of corrective actions and recommendations of safety.
- Responsible for attaining safe and trouble free operations of the crude production from well head towers to meet the daily oil/gas production and water injection targets. Ensures and maintains the quality of products and ensures the integrity of Plant Machinery and equipment.
- Ensures operating parameters remain within specified ranges during normal and emergency operation and there is no violation of equipment design limits.
- Responsible for the preparation of wellhead towers for drilling, work over, maintenance activities and co-ordinates safe handover to drilling and maintenance. Issues required handover certificates and receive the facilities after the completion of such activities.
- Coordinates with Mechanical and I/E departments for routine, preventive and urgent maintenance of equipment. Issues Hot / Cold and Entry Work Permits for all Routine/Planned Maintenance work to be carried out in Accordance with ADMA Working Procedures and Safety Regulations.
- Responsible for utilizing Maximo for all maintenance jobs in his group.
- Ensures that all log sheets and checklists are being filled as per schedule and are duly signed by respective field operators.
- Represents ADMA OPCO on-board of test vessels, supervises flow testing, cleans - up unloading and bleed down operations in safe manner and carries out self-auditing and planned inspection to ensure compliance of test vessels and contracted equipment with the company’s safety and marine regulations.
- Monitors Chemical Injection Systems and ensures correct dosage is maintained for oil/ gas/ water systems.
- Must be able to understand and operate all Control Room Visual and Annunciation Alarms and Signals and be able to spot any malfunctions in operating facilities, initiate corrective actions when required.
- Participation in case of Emergency Drills and Emergency Procedures initiating General Alarms and the operation of various communication systems.
- Carries out a self-inspection and self-auditing surveys, conducts regular safety meetings with subordinates, prepares inspection lists and supervises the classification of plant equipment from hazard and risk assessment point of view and follows up inspection programmes.
- Maintains adequate level of spares and consumables to avoid field and plant unplanned shutdown and failures.
- Identifies any Training Requirements, follow up on Job Training of all subordinates with emphasis upon the development of UAE Nationals.
Other Related Duties :-
- Writing Reports, responding to alarms and signals to spot any malfunction in operating facilities.
- Ensuring adequate supplies of chemicals, spares, consumable’s and stores stock.
- Training subordinates, following up Progress of UAE National Developers, Training etc.
- Assisting in the training of Subordinates / developers.
- Preparing accident/incident reports.
- Maintaining proper housekeeping etc.

Communication & Organizational Relationships:
- Daily contacts with Maintenance personnel within operation team up to Supervisor level for implementation, coordination and progress of maintenance activities.
- Has frequent contact with Field Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Boat, Mobile Crew, and Wireline Supervisors, Barges and up to Senior Engineer level and occasional contacts with Production Personnel in Abu Dhabi and on Das Island to discuss production/processing activities, quality / quantity of water/oil/gas produced and co-ordinated Maintenance Work.
- Occasional contacts with personnel in Commercial and Store division at equivalent level to discuss material/ chemicals requirements and follow up material requisitions and supply.
- Frequent Contact with Petroleum Engineer in Abu Dhabi with regard to Test Vessel activities and results.
- Work according to Company’s established procedures and technical standards. Exercises Latitude and uses own initiative during emergencies including plant shutdown / start up.

Minimum Requirements [Knowledge Skills & Experience]:
- B.Sc. Degree or equivalent in Petroleum/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Off-shore oilfield production / processing operations environment with 2 years supervisory position and computer operations knowledge.
- Good knowledge of spoken and written the English Language.
