BASIC FUNCTION

To ensure optimum utilization of Terminal Trucks ,and responsible for First Line maintenance , follow up with Preventive maintenance , TT licenses and certifications with Traffic Authority and refueling TTs regularly with minimum interruptions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Acts as point of contact concerning his area of operations for allocating number of TTs for Quay, Yards and Plant operations for the transportation of empty containers and full containers.
Ensure the overall operations at the yards and Quays are executed in accordance to priorities set by the operations requirements; report any problem areas of operations to the operation shift superintendent and implement the agreed plans.
Supervise the TT operators to make sure that each one of them knows what to do and when to do it in order to achieve the highest possible productivity.
Identifies and solves problems and issues including first line maintenance within his competence on a daily basis that may arise during his shift to achieve continuous operations.
Provides information and reports on daily equipment availability and repair status and coordinates with various departments regarding equipment schedules for servicing and repairs.
Assists the HSE Shift supervisor in the implementation of QA/ HSE requirements and ensure prompt action and immediate reporting for any adverse / unsafe situations and incidents. Ensure safe embarking of all TTs once not in use.
Ensure the optimum utilization of all equipment employed during the designated shift period by monitoring equipment work queues and allocating equipment and personnel where required to achieve maximum productivity with minimum turnaround times.
Reports problems and issues to‘ the operation shift superintendent when necessary especially regarding issues with great complexity that can adversely impact the operations.
Monitors and execute the TTs refuelling in safe manner with minimum interruptions.
Ensures that ail transactional data are encoded by the operators into TOS.
Monitor and maintain traffic license registration certificates for all TTs. Liaise and coordinate with Company Terminal, Company Service Department and Compny HR for annual renewal of the Traffic registration of each vehicle.
Monitor closely the daily first line maintenance check and HSE requirements.
General housekeeping in respective work areas.
Minimum Qualifications
1. College graduate preferabiy an shipping / logistics / marine
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in container Trucking planning operations; the last position held should at least be that of a Foreman or equivalent.
3. Basic hands-on knowledge of different terminal handling equipment
4. Proven leadership in handling a group of at least 20 skilled and unskilled labors
5. Advanced computer skills
6. Above average aptitude in written and spoken English; preferably bilingua!
7. Relevant training from recognized safety organizations
8. Willing to work on shifting
9. Physically fit
