Operates Terminal Trucks and Tug Masters., reach stackers , empty handlers between the container lining station, packing area, vessels and yard operations.
PRlNClPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts operations in a safe manner to ensure all work procedures and safety codes are followed, to prevent injury to all personnel and damage to equipment.
Carry out all routine pre and post inspection on equipment for operational conditions and ensure any defects are reported immediately.
Report immediately any safety hazards during operations and if necessary stop until such are rectified.
Report immediately any damage sustained during operations by equipment.
Report immediately any equipment malfunction and assists maintenance when necessary.
Report immediately any damage sustained during operations by equipment.
Follow work queue instructions & adhere to speed limits & traffic flow regulations.
Ensure equipment has sufficient fuel at all times and adhere to refuelling schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
At least High School diploma
At 5 years relevant experience
Must possess heavy duty driver’s license issued by the local authority.
Basic knowledge of First Line Maintenance. Experienced operators of port equipment or a driver of a truck must know how to perform first line maintenance, otherwise such people cannot be considered experienced and they should not be brought on site.
Defensive driving license.
Should have completed at least 30 hours of relevant training from credible Safety organizations; certificates of attendance/completion required.
Physically fit; and must possess excellent sensory acuity.
Average English skills in both oral and written form.
