JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Provides first line supervision of full time Operations personnel in a safe, productive manner. Supervises the daily Radwaste Operations tasks including on shift activities. Manages multiple and possibly conflicting priorities.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Is proficient at managing a multi-disciplined group.
Maintains an excellent understanding of the work management process. Functions as a team leader. Assists in the Radwaste budget development and function within the budget.
Communicates with all levels of the organization including representing the department at meetings.
Ensures assigned tasks are performed as safely and efficiently as possible. Proposes time saving tooling and work methods.
Ensures all Radwaste activities are performed within regulatory and procedural guidelines.
Manages personnel and resolves employee conflict or concerns. Interfaces with regulatory and industry representatives on behalf of station activities. Communicates technical Radwaste information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing. Participates in the shared resources program. Serves as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. in Engineering or related technical degree may be credited for 3 years of experience or equivalent work experience.

ANSI Section 4.3.2 - Supervisors Not Requiring NRC Licenses: High School Diploma or equivalent. 4 years of experience in craft or discipline he/she supervises. At least 5 years experience in Operations.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Technical proficiency in the Radwaste Operations area. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation. Proficiency with current computer business applications.
