Serve as the primary physician for patients receiving any form of dialysis or who have received a kidney transplant.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for diagnosing and treating conditions and diseases that affect or involve the kidneys. Evaluates the kidneys and determines the best treatment and management for the disorders.
Assesses and treats primary and secondary referrals of general nephrology cases.
Refers the patient to a surgeon, in case a transplant is required.
Assists in the surgery after-care, including administering antibiotics or anti-rejection drugs.
Conducts renal biopsy as a day case procedure.
Temporary dialysis vascular access as required.
Coaches and mentors of postgraduate medical staff with educational supervision of the higher medical trainee.
Assists with the development and implementation of QA systems to ensure conformance to ‘best practice’ standards offered by the Institute.
Contributes in medical and clinical audit activities and apply the results to improve the service.
Qualification Required:
HAAD license or HAAD exam passed.
Experience Required:
Three years of post-graduate training in general internal medicine.
Three years of specialized training/internship in nephrology.
