Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for diagnosing and treating conditions and diseases that affect or involve the kidneys.  Evaluates the kidneys and determines the best treatment and management for the disorders.
• Assesses and treats primary and secondary referrals of general nephrology cases.
• Refers the patient to a surgeon, in case a transplant is required.
• Assists in the surgery after-care, including administering antibiotics or anti-rejection drugs.
• Conducts renal biopsy as a day case procedure.
• Temporary dialysis vascular access as required.
• Coaches and mentors of postgraduate medical staff with educational supervision of the higher medical trainee.
• Assists with the development and implementation of QA systems to ensure conformance to ‘best practice’ standards offered by the Institute.
• Contributes in medical and clinical audit activities and apply the results to improve the service.

Qualification Required:

• HAAD license or HAAD exam passed.

Experience Required:

• Three years of post-graduate training in general internal medicine.
• Three years of specialized training/internship in nephrology.
