Job Title: Senior Stimulation Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

BASIC FUNCTION 

This senior technical role will review, analyze, recommend and guide the implementation of best in class advanced completion and stimulation technologies. This includes completion support for exploration and drilling of conventional and unconventional reservoirs, fracture treatment design, service quality assurance, on-site supervision and decision making during the treatment and evaluation to feed back for improvement. This position is embedded within the Upstream Technical Support Division and, as a senior technical specialist, will engage with leaders and experts from across the upstream business.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Manage the day to day field operations on location Manage all aspects of field applied service Work directly with the management team to provide technical expertise and demonstrate Calfrac Well Services best practices 
• Responsible for providing crews with proper support, leadership, and guidance while maintaining a high degree of service quality 
• Ensure adherence to operational, safety, and environmental policies and procedures 
• Interact with the customer to provide troubleshooting techniques, job solutions and to confirm all program requirements are monitored 
• Work closely with the engineering department to provide a consistent approach to the business and to the customer 
• Use extensive knowledge of the field to be able to prevent accidents and any other incidents from occurring 
• Provide effective communication to management in the District regarding operations and continuous improvement/training initiatives 
• Manage employee and equipment assignments and schedules to meet customer requirements to achieve corporate mandate of “Service First" 
• Report required information on crew, equipment and job related information in complete and accurate manner · Ensure field employees’ adherence to operational policies and procedures to achieve safety objectives. 
• Interact with vendors to ensure smooth flow of resources to and from locations
• When required provide on-site location support for field personnel (i.e. Supervisors, Operators, and on-site crew).
• Assist Field Manager with running of daily operations 
• Participate in interviewing field applicants 
• KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES: · 
• Must have the ability to adapt to remote and extreme working conditions while supervising a mobile service line operation 
• Strong understanding of service line capabilities, job types, equipment maintenance and manufacturing processes 
• A highly energetic, self-starter comfortable working in a fast paced environment that is deadline driven and centered on providing quality information · 
• Must be able to interact effectively and work comfortably with both field and management staff 
• Comfortable in a dynamic, project driven, team based environment

Reports to the Operation & Engineering Team Leader, Unconventional Hydrocarbon Resources Department.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• ​Minimum education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Petroleum or equivalent)
• Minimum of 10 years as a total experiences in oil and gas industry, including a minimum 5 years in Stimulation engineering for oil and gas wells
• Significant exposure working on multiple unconventional plays assets
• In-depth knowledge of Fracpro, Ghofer and all hydraulic fracture models;
• Substantial supervisory experience in the field as well as in an office-based environment for planning and executing daily operations support;
