Outage Preparation Milestones
• Accountable to Site Management for being the single point of contact for all Outage Preparation Milestone process oversight and support of implementation.
• Accountable to site Management for being the single point of contact to oversee development of standardized reporting requirements associated with outage preparation activities.
• Provides oversight of the development and implementation of mitigation strategies required to ensure milestone adherence.
Outage Control Center (OCC)
• Oversees the pre-outage preparation and activation of the Outage Control Center.
• Directs the development and assists with implementation of Outage Control Center outage specific training.
• Provides oversight of Outage Control Center activities during outage execution
Outage Processes
• Accountable to Site Management for being the single point of contact for all Outage related processes and there implementation.
• Ensures Outage related processes are reviewed and updated in accordance with Industry best practices.
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining an Outage Improvement process utilizing "Outage Lessons Learned"
Staff Training and Qualification
• Responsible to complete training in a timely manner to maintain all required standards and qualifications.
• Actively coach peers, when required, to ensure a high level of work performance is maintained.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related science or equivalent nuclear power plant work experience relevant to this position as defined in the experience requirements below.
12-15 years of nuclear power plant experience including over 4 years PWR nuclear power plant experience in operation stage of which 12 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
Technical Competency
• Good understanding of nuclear power plant design and modification.
• Understanding of license basis requirements and plant operating requirements.
• Able to establish relationships with peers within the site and across the nuclear industry.
• Understands the responsibilities with regard to the Outage requirements of a nuclear power plant.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements relative to the modification of a nuclear power plant.
