PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job purpose & Scope:

• The Senior Operation Engineer will be responsible for providing process engineering services for surface facilities related to oil & gas operation, ensuring the activities are safe and executed as per the scope of work.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Evaluates and recommends pre engineering and engineering concepts, designs and development for operation systems and plants.
• Ensuring Technical integrity and HSE requirements are met cost effectively throughout the development cycle.
• To supervise Contractor's activities during detailed design, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning stages, including review of reports, attending meetings, monitoring of resource levels, monitoring of compliance to DEP's, HSE etc.
• To maintain proper integration with ZADCO operational, maintenance and HSE philosophies and practices.
• Participate in the investigation of technical and commercial aspects of project work as related to operation, to maintain proper integration with existing facilities and installations.
• Performs other and similar duties as assigned.
• Support ZR Team for commissioning of new projects and performance tests.

Organizational Relationships (Work Contacts):

• Regular contacts at all level with company and contractors’ personnel.

Independence of Operations: 

• Other routine actions are coordinated with SMW Sr. Manager. Work assignments are subject to spot-checking.

Supervisory Responsibility: 

• Provides work directions to Contractors and Company operation Engineers during Major Works Implementation on site.

Physical Effort:

• High

Work Environment:

• Approximately 40% of the time is spent in an air-conditioned environment. For the remainder of the time exposed to prevailing weather conditions, dust and noise.

Minimum Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Chemical or Petrochemical Engineering.
• 10 years of oil and gas experience in surface productions facilities operation and projects coordination.
• Relevant projects experience gained within the oil and gas / similar industry.
• Commercial and contractual awareness.
• Strong interpersonal & organizational skills.
• Very good English language proficiency.
• Computer Literate.

Preference given to Applicants with Offshore work Experience and who can join immediately
