Role & Scope :
- Supervises, directs and/or participates in carrying out the activities of the assigned personnel involved in electrical maintenance team. The work includes preventive and breakdown maintenance of various types of motors, electronic control systems, wiring, contacts, resistances, and lighting systems. (Work covers maintenance and repair of dead/live H.V and L.V equipment up to 33 K.V such as switchgears with associated control panels, Electrical Control and Monitoring System, transformers, UPS system with batteries, HVAC and ancillary equipment).
Organisational Relationship / Latitude:
- Report to Electrical supervisor.
- Daily contacts with Utilities operation electrical supervisor for co-ordination of electrical work.
- Daily contacts with work associates and discusses plant problems.
- Regular contacts with personnel in NASR asset up to engineer Team leader level to discuss engineering requirements and co-ordinate work activities.
- Regular contacts with Assist Electrical Supervisor to communicate with personnel in Commercial Division at equivalent level to discuss subjects related to material / spare parts supply.
- Works according to ADMA established procedures and HSE standards, using both initiative and judgement when allocating work to subordinates and carrying out work.
- Completed work can be subject to general supervision/ check by Electrical Supervisor as required by Site maintenance Team Leader.
Main Duties and Responsibilities :
- Supervises planned and breakdown electrical maintenance work carried out by electricians and contractors personnel on and/or offshore installations, as required. Includes supervising the repair and maintenance of such equipment at the Abu Dhabi workshop ensuring that work is done according to Company’s specifications and standards/regulations.
- Issues and controls isolation certificates/electrical work permits in accordance with ADMA safety regulations and the general rules relative to control and safe operation and maintenance of electrical apparatus on power network (Moved part of Electrical Supervisor)
- Perform Electrical Isolation and De-Isolation as per Isolation certificates/ electrical work permits in accordance with ADMA safety regulations and the general rules relative to control and safe operation and maintenance of electrical apparatus on power network.
- Diagnoses and rectifies electrical faults on electrical equipment on-site or in workshop, as applicable. Includes generating equipment, various types of motors, electronic control and communication systems, A/C alternators, DC UPS, resistances, contacts, wiring systems, etc.
- Diagnoses faults and guides electricians in the repair of switch-boards, faulty breakers, earth linkages, alarm systems, and ensures proper functioning of navigational/directional lighting on marine craft or offshore installations at all times.
- Ensures availability of adequate supplies of stores and spare parts required for maintenance and repair work and initiates necessary materials requisitions for replenishment of the stock.
- Performs other related duties, such as carry out duties of PGB Operator during crew change, training. Training subordinates, observing safety regulations, reading and interpreting A/C and D/C circuit diagrams, preparing preliminary drawings of circuits, ensuring that emergency batteries are changed at all times, etc.
- To perform, on temporary basis, the assignments of Electrical supervisor, in additional to his own assignments, in case of Electrical Supervisor absence.
HSE Role
Participate in Emergency team or Medical Team as assigned. (ii) Participate in Group safety meetings. (iii) Ensure compliance with ADMA-OPCO HSE regulations, procedures and standards.
Performance Measures :
- Actively and systematically contributes in achieving Objectives & KPI.
- Actively and systematically contributes in achieving HSE targets and environmental requirements.
- Equipment down time Vs planned down time.
- Man-hours worked on breakdowns Vs total maintenance manpower. Moved part of Electrical Supervisor KPI
- Number of items over due for planned maintenance.
- Train and develop UAE and team member’s skills to achieve competency.

Minimum Requirements (knowledge skills and experience):
- Secondary education certificate followed by 2 years formal training in electrical technology.
- 5 years experience in electric maintenance and repair work of H.V/L.V electrical equipment.
- Good knowledge of English.
