Job purpose & Scope:
Prepares and ensures effective implementation of HSE plans for GPF Project, and ensures to carry out the project as per the requisite HSE guidelines and standards.
Principal Accountabilities:

Prepares the HSE Management Plan for GPF Project in line with Company's HSEMS, standards and guidelines on HSE parameters to ensure its compliant with company HSE plan.

Acts as a focal point in coordination for all HSE reporting such as monthly HSE statistics, Quarterly Performance Reviews, a Near Miss Reports, Behavioral Safety Audits, etc. to ensure safety.

Monitors Safety Management Systems of Contractors to ensure these are aligned with Company HSE management system.

Reviews the safety performance of the Contractors under the Project to provide an assessment report to Project Manager.

Provides advice and recommendations on HSE aspects to achieve a good safety record for the project and enhance it, meeting relevant KPl's.

Ensures that HSE reviews are carried out as per the project scheduled milestones. Ensures the internal audit for Project (HSEIA) is carried out in a timely manner and approval for the same is obtained from HQ.

Co-ordinates HSE monthly meetings to monitor HSE actions against the HSE Plan / program. Update & monitor HSE performance standards for audit review processes.

Ensures that all safety activities are incorporated on the Project plan and that no conflict exists which could prevent implementation of the approved HSE program.

Ensures that HSE actions are recorded and followed through into design and construction and lessons learnt are recorded and disseminated to the various project teams.

Participates in Project HSE related reviews, e.g. like PHSERs, HAZIDs AND HAZOPs etc, and in Risk Assessments when required.
Organizational Relationships (Work Contacts):
Daily contacts with Project Manager & Team Members and Contractor's Safety Engineers to discuss and advise on various HSE aspects.
Frequent contacts with HSE Division and the Asset Unit's personnel to prepare the monthly report.
Regular contacts with counterparts from other OPCO's and safety professionals from the oil and gas industry to share ideas and knowledge on HSE.
Independence of Operations and Decision-making Authority:
Takes initiative to resolve encountered operational problems as well as emergency cases.
Physical Effort:
Sitting :50% of the time
Standing/Walking/climbing: 50% of the time
Work Environment:
A/C Environment: 80 % of the time
Exposed to prevailing weather condition 20%
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in relevant Engineering discipline such as Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical plus professional qualification in HSE disciplines.
- An understanding of HSE requirements and risks in various phases of a project.
- Good Planning, communication and interpersonal skills.
- 8-9 years relevant work experience in the oil and gas industry with at least 5 years in a supervisory role related to HSE discipline. Knowledge of Various Software used in the Industry related to Safety & RAM Studies.
- Proficient in English .
