Job Description

The Decommissioning Function requires an experienced Decommissioning Specialist to support the Decommissioning Function: 

Project Management and Functional Support 
• Provide specialist decommissioning & waste management support to the function as required by the Decommissioning Manager. 
• Provide technical support to the function in developing plans and strategies. 
• Support the discharge of regulatory commitments to International Regulations  
• Act as a team member of Company Decommissioning function, enabling successful delivery of functional operations, regulatory requirements and Operational Readiness program. 

Stakeholder Engagement, Communications and Reporting 
• Proactively seek information from key stakeholders to assist in the development of the Decommissioning function. 
• Co-ordinate communications across Company multi-disciplined teams and between other functions and projects 
• Practice and encourage open and effective communication internally and externally in order to build and nurture effective working relationships. 
• Undertake the production of project and functional reports and other reports as may be required for reporting purposes. 
• Undertake and record regular project progress meetings. 
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders as required to support the development, understanding and delivery of project deliverables and milestones 

People Management & Development 
• Manage Project Team Members, SMEs and Vendors to enable success delivery of agreed objectives and milestones. 
• Coach/Mentor Team Members to support their understanding and use of Company and Processes. 
• Develop capabilities of Nationals in support of Nationalization strategy and other corporate objectives. 
• Support the development and delivery of project management training to junior PM staff and other Site Staff as required to help build project management capability and capacity.

Skills

• 10 years nuclear industry experience 
• 10 years of decommissioning experience in the nuclear industry 
• 7 years of waste/decommissioning strategy and planning experience 
• 2 years licensing experience
