Bachelors Degree in Commercial Engineering with 5 years experience in Business Development 0f Project Engeineering enviornment
Reporting to Manager, Innovation and Strategic Partnerships, key accountabilities include:
• Track, monitor and support the innovation/strategic procurement funnel of activities across hospitals through ongoing engagement with account and category management teams
• Provide ongoing project management support to several concurrent large-scale provincial initiatives, working with a wide array of government and health sector stakeholders
• Work closely with sourcing staff to support ongoing implementation of innovative hospital strategic sourcing initiatives, with a focus on direct support in mobilizing innovation procurement methods related to Request for Proposal development
• Attend key working group meetings to support the sourcing team, where required
• Manage and track required updates and communication between hospitals, account management and sourcing functions for key initiatives
• Work with available data to examine feasibility of investing in certain categories and supporting landscaping of potential investment areas, leveraging established data management knowledge
• Support development of innovation procurement and value based healthcare methodologies, processes and tools/intellectual protocol
• Conduct ongoing research and scanning on the topic of value-based healthcare trends and opportunities, identifying where compnay can play a role
• Control risk by managing client expectations, project scope and taking early action to resolve problems • Support brokering functions between hospitals and funders for innovation project opportunities by identifying new strategic partnership opportunities
• Enable a collaborative team environment and supporting the development of relationships across the organization
Qualifications:
• 5-7 years’ experience, in progressively more senior roles, with preference given to those in
• Experience in the Business Development of Project Engineering environment with a focus on experiences related to the acute care sector, strategic sourcing, provincial innovation agenda and funding policy
• Demonstrated experience in implementing new concepts and driving change
• Demonstrated experience leading and implementing projects of varying complexity
• Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement and management, e.g. customer, supplier, government
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities successfully with quality outputs
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a matrixed environment
• Ability to handle complex problems and design highly innovative and creative solutions
• Established presentation, writing, communication and interpersonal relationship competencies
• Flexibility and comfort in working a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Undergraduate degree required; Master’s degree preferred
