Job Details
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Champion all HES Activities / Initiatives inclusive of LIHS initiatives and identification of unsafe acts / unsafe conditions and raise observation cards, etc.
Remains knowledgeable of safety policies and procedures as well as performs assigned duties in a safe manner while managing others, has responsibility for their safety and ensures that they comply with established safety policies and procedures and practice safe work habits.
Compliance with Project Ethics policies.
Responsible for insuring that all scaffolding designed / erected by Contractor(s) in site are in compliance with international industry guidelines and Working at Heights procedures are met.
Understand the requirements of the fabrication contract Scope of Works inclusive of all aspects of modular fabrication, assembly, welding, coatings, schedule and look ahead plans. Ensures work is in conformance with plans, specifications and schedules.
Works as part of the HES Team to insure all work scopes are in compliance with project requirements / specifications.
Establish daily contact with Fabrication Contractor supervision forming good relationships. Liaise with Contractor for oversight of key scaffold work elements, including but not limited to:
scaffolding management, work planning, and coordination to support the discipline work
scaffold design and construction methods,
materials management,
competency assessments and crew mix,
safe work practices and procedure validation and verification
associated risk assessments and field observations.
Develop excellent working relationships with Company and Contractors teams assisting Fabrication Contractor in all his endeavors and objectives observing quality codes and standards.
Maintain high standards of attitude and behavior throughout the site and offsite acting as a role model /mentor for younger members of staff and local employees.
Monitor and reports work activities and manpower requirements / resources to meet established completion dates, monitors craft personnel levels, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules. Understand KPI targets and monitor progress and have a perspective towards the contractor focus on meeting targets.
Prepares and issues weekly / monthly status reports as required.
Work with the HES Team and scaffolding contractor to ensure accurate and timely incident reporting.
Assist HES team with incident investigations pertaining to scaffolding incidents when required.
Fabrication yard-based role with majority of daily responsibility out on the site workface. Reports to HES manager.
Requirements:
High School diploma
Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
Skills demonstrating the capability to run a large project
High critical thinking/reasoning ability
Effective communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
