Job Specification 

            Incumbent carries out responsible, varied assignments requiring general knowledge of HSE engineering.  Problems solved using a combination of standard procedures or modifications thereof.  More complex work projects will be referred to more senior authorities for guidance.  Work is reviewed regularly by more senior professionals. May give periodic technical guidance to staff assigned to work on a common project.

Majority of work is focused on sampling, analyzing and monitoring. The incumbent is the Company resource on issues relating to safety engineering, environment protection, loss prevention, risk assessment, fire protection, road safety, explosion analysis and consequence modeling. Setting priorities based on risk and cost benefit is an on-going challenge.

Accountabilities may include:

·        Identify and assess potential hazards, accidents, and emergency situations associated with ADCO operations.

·        Participate, develop and maintains the ADCO HSE policy which establishes the Company’s key objectives in the field of Environment, Health and Safety performance.

·        Analyze existing facilities, perform air water and land pollution source sampling, assist in developing and implementing inspection programs.

·        Monitor safety/environment standards and compliance with regulations.
