ROTATING EQUIPMENT ENGINEER

Job purpose & Scope:

• Provide Technical expertise to the Company on Rotating equipment including package equipment
• Prepare Rotating Equipment Discipline Scope of work on projects.
• Conduct Technical Reviews of Rotating Equipment & package equipment submissions from consultants / contractors.
• Ensure design optimization and correct codes and standards are utilized in the projects.
• Provide Technical Support to Company Operating Sites, Business Units and Support Units.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Provides support to multi-discipline engineering team in Conceptual Studies, Conceptual / Basic Design / Front End Engineering Design and Detailed Engineering.
• Prepares and develops scope of work for Engineering Consultants for all Rotating Equipment packages
• Conducts technical evaluation for selection of Engineering Consultants.
• Review the design works of Engineering Consultant's work and ensures compliances with Company requirements, international standards and engineering norms.
• Perform in-house Conceptual study & design.
• Review and approve drawings and technical documents for all rotating equipment.
• Participates in site surveys of facilities to establish and identify the actual requirements.
• Maintains Company standards and specifications by developing new technical specifications and updating existing ones.
• Carry out design calculations as a tool for design checks .
• Participates in HAZOP / HAZID /PHSER/ Layout Review ,design reviews and audits.
• Provides sound quality and expert solutions to problems presented by Business Units or support team and meeting target date.
• Witnesses performance tests including FAT and SAT for acceptance or rejection of equipment based on Company requirements, specifications and standard.
• Participates in inspection testing and commissioning of systems as required.
• Prepare Business Case for projects.
• Provide technical assistance, coordination and liaison with other discipline engineers within the Company on all aspects of engineering / technical matters.
• Participate in technical audits on Consultant / Engineer / Contractor / Vendor Offices, during pre-qualification and to evaluate their performance during project execution.
• Participate as Company representative specialist on rotating equipment packages inspection and performance testing at Vendor's workshop or at Company sites.
• Provide training and development for UAE nationals.

Organizational Relationships (Work Contacts):

• Senior Engineering Manager, EPE -ME T/L and Engineers in OSES /SU.
• Contact across Company / COMPANY whenever required to provide technical assistance.

Independence of Operations and Decision-making Authority:

• Responsible for managing all related studies and execution.

Minimum Requirements:

• B. Eng /B.Sc. In Mechanical Engineering field .
• 12 years' experience in Design of various Rotating Equipment packages in Oil & Gas Industries
• Excellent knowledge and skill of relevant international codes and standards.
• Very good knowledge of English.
• Computer literate.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
