Helps maintain radiation exposure to plant personnel and the public As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA). Reduces radioactive contamination levels, provides radiological protective clothing, handles radioactive waste, and provides guidance to radiological workers. Performs radiological surveys and radiological sample analyses. Issues and inventories radiological equipment. Prevents radioactive material from being unconditionally released from the Radiologically Controlled Area. Performs high-complexity radiological job coverage commensurate with experience level.
