Brief Description
Establish and implement quality assurance verifications and reviews across company’s assets and functions and provide independent assurance to top management that appropriate standards and protocols related to quality and effectiveness of chemicals are in place and the implementation throughout the chemical management lifecycles are in compliance with relevant codes, standards and company’s procedures.
Supervision
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activitiesin the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the Section /Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved Section / Departmentpolicies, processes,systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section’s/ Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in orderto define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures& controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and Company Code of Practices.
Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
QUALIFICATIONS,EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Chemicals Engineering or other relevant disciplines
- 10-12 years varied experience in Corrosion and Process Engineering in the oil and gas industry with thorough knowledge of corrosion prevention procedures and practices, chemical treatments, including laboratory operations.
- Experience in auditing, spot checks,investigation, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with ISO 9001& 14001 are preferred.
- 7 years in a supervisory capacity in Quality assurance,development of quality systems, procedures, leading and motivating the quality team members and training and development of new members particularly UAE Nationals.
Professional Certifications
- Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001 and ISO 17025with good knowledge in international codes API, ASME, ISO 9001, ISO 17025, NACE etc
