Job Purpose:
Supervises and controls the operation of any of the Process Plants and Storage & Export on assigned shift, to ensure that Production targets are met and plants are operating safely, efficiently and economically. Supervises receipt, storage and export of crude oil and condensate blend, using pumps, turbine meters and prover.
Supervises decommissioning/ commissioning of COS tanks, lines etc., in relation to maintenance, major overhaul and desludging of tanks.
Ensures the timely execution of the shipping programme. Responsible during night shift for immediate action on minimising flaring during plant upsets in ADGAS or ADMA plants. Reviews /prepares Operating/commissioning procedures for all plants.
Conducts necessary analysis of IDP system to ensure the required level of competency of sites Process personnel.
Prepares Training Manuals of simulator Process models covering all plants.
[Work covers all the activities area on Umm-Shaif, Zakum, Gas condensate unit, LNG Manifold, D & D, Bunduq, onshore and offshore flares, storex operations].
Principal Accountabilities:
- Directs and supervises the work of the assigned personnel involved in the operation of production plants, receipt, storage and export of crude oil and condensate blend.
- Implementation of the programme and instructions, ensuring that plant is operating efficiently, safely and economically. Implements the established programmes or instructions for the operation of process plants areas.
- Prepares programmes for plants/equipment isolation and ensures that plant and equipment are free of gas and safe for commencing repair, maintenance, overhaul, modification works ... etc.
- Initiates the call out system, either within the Department or for assistance from other Departments when help is required e.g. electrical, instrument or mechanical. Ensures the availability of necessary log books/records of plant conditions. Troubleshoots plants/units operations to ensure optimum performance.
- Supervises and control the work of assigned personnel engaged in the adjustment and balancing of panels production units ensuring plants are operating efficiently, safely and economically, etc ...
- Takes necessary measures to deal with planned and unforeseen fluctuations, checks flares, keeps concerned persons within production and other related areas informed of changes and when necessary obtains permission for implementation
- Meets oil production and ADGAS gas supply requirements. Assists in proving the crude oil export and Bunduq production meters in liaison with Supreme Petroleum Council representatives.
- Liaises with ADGAS Laboratory Technician for testing of product and export samples. Raises work request using MAXIMO computerised system.
- Keeps record of chemicals and other consumables used for process, storex operation, monitors consumption and maintains stocks at safe levels.
- Participates in crude/condensate loading programming in conjunction with OGCD personnel
Communication & Organisational Relationship:
- Co-ordinates on daily basis with maintenance (Mech, Electrical,\ Instruments and Civil Supervisor) and also co-ordinates with Das Facilities, USSC, 'ZWSC, BQ, ADGAS, Marine and Supreme Petroleum Council representatives.
- Daily contacts with Process Operations Section Leader discuss plant activities and problems.
- Occasional contacts with Process Operations Team Leader to discus plant activities and problems.
- Occasional contacts with work associates up to Senior level to exchange information and provide consultancy in related areas.
- Works according to operating procedures specialized technical standards general instructions.
- Regular contacts with Process personnel to exchange technical information and solve problems related to the Process Procedures.
- Regular contacts with Process Engineers and Projects Contractors/consultants to discuss operating/commissioning procedures requirement for new projects.
- Works according to standard procedures/methods/polices and appropriate programmes.

Minimum Requirements [Knowledge Skills & Experience]:
- Completion of secondary education followed by 3 years formal training in mechanical or chemical trades.
- 6 years experience in refinery/petrochemical Operations, of which 3 years should have been in supervisory positions. Must have good knowledge pertaining to functioning of Oil Process, Oil Export Terminal and petrochemical.
- Good knowledge of English.
- UAE driving License.
Preference given to Applicants with Offshore work Experience and who can join immediately
