Description

The Rig Move Coordinator will plan, budget, track, coordinate and execute all aspects of drilling rig and asset moves including the coordination or rig move crews. The successful candidate will work with drilling operations and other stakeholders with the primary focus to provide safe, efficient, timely and cost effective rig move support. Additionally, they will ensure the tracking of performance metrics for rig moves.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule rig moves
  • Obtain competitive bids for services
  • Manage contracted truck fleet
  • Conduct pre-and post-job meetings
  • Coordinate and assess planed trucking routes for rig and asset moves
  • Coordinate and plan the movement of assets from various locations / yards including but not limited to the stacking of idle rig equipment
  • Track performance of trucking contractors
  • Assist management in development of standard operating procedures
  • Provide written reports on contractor performance
  • Ensure rig move crews are trained on processes to ensure efficient rig moves
  • Actively participate in and support the Company HSE programs 

Qualifications And Abilities

  • Previous operational experience within the drilling services industry is a requirement
  • 5 to 10 years of previous work experience in oilfield services, dispatching, trucking and/or pushing trucks is required
  • Strong problem solving skills and able to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy in a fast paced and dynamic environment is critical
  • Must be a results-driven, detail orientated and organized individual with well-developed time management skills
  • Must be able to work independently and follow direction
  • Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates innovation, professionalism and commitment
  • Fluency in Spanish is considered an asset
  • Able to participate in an on-call schedule and rotation as required, in order to support operations
