Provide training and support to UAE national trainees and developees at the job site regarding Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Maintenance, as well as Operations and HSE

Job Details

JOB PURPOSE

  • Provide training and support to UAE national trainees and developees at the job site regarding Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Maintenance, as well as Operations and HSE. Be able to teach and use English language (general and technical) administers procedures based on training program and conduct training center courses in trainees’ particular specialty.Evaluate trainees’ required knowledge by testing, and to fill in gaps in that knowledge.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Obtain positive feedback from trainees / developees through customerfeedback surveys.
  • Coach and counsel.
  • Design and develop HSE training models, programs and evaluations.
  • Liaise with line supervisors and with management on training issues.
  • Align training programs with learning and development policies.
  • Review and update content of HSE training materials.
  • Plan training activities and use of resources.
  • Identify trainee / developee training and learning needs.
  • Update Eps’ monthly report and provide feedback.

 

Training Programs

  • Prepare training programs / curriculums anddevelop discipline training materials as per Company development program.

 

General   

  • Apply company policies and regulations inexecution of training.
  • Adhere to departmental plans and objectives,and to career development programs in all training activities; supportattainment of the department KPI.
  • Evaluate objectively training effectivenessaccording to such assessment procedures as are applicable.
  • Compile task books with measurable objectivesfor tasks, and update as required.
  • Maintain training files and prepare monthlyprogress reports on developees. Provide feedback to the training section asnecessary.

 

Supervision

  • Plan,supervise and coordinate all activities in assigned area to meet functionalobjectives.
  • Train anddevelop assigned staff on relevant skills, enabling them to become proficientat their job and to deliver respective section objectives.

 

Budget

  • Provide input for preparation of departmental / section budget and assist in implementationof approved budget and work plans to deliver section objectives.
  • Investigateand highlight any significant variances to support effective performance andcost control.

 

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Implementapproved departmental / section policies, processes, systems, standards andprocedures in order to support execution of department / section’s work programsin line with company and international standards.
  • Comply withall applicable legislation and legal regulations.

 

Performance Management

  • Contribute tothe achievement of approved performance objectives for the department / sectionin line with the Company Performance framework.

 

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Design andimplement new tools and techniques to improve quality and efficiency of operationalprocesses.
  • Identifyimprovements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greaterefficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutionsfor issues confronting functionality.

 

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

  • Comply withrelevant HSE policies, procedures and controls, applicable legislation andsustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and Company Code of Practice.

 

Reports

  • Provide inputfor preparation of monthly progress reports for company management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor degree inrelevant engineering discipline  

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • 5–10 years’ workexperience in a related field, preferably in the Oil / Gas or Petrochemical Industry,at least 2 years of which should be in a training capacity (on-the-job andclassroom training) in applicant’s discipline.
  • Experience in preparingtraining materials and familiarity with competency-based programs.
  • Facilitation skills to support the learningexperience for UAE national employees in specific job skills, as per disciplinecompetence requirements.

 

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of computers.
  • Good knowledge ofEnglish.
  • Knowledge of Arabiclanguage preferable.
