SCOPE OF WORK

Carrying out the Preventive, Breakdown and Major overhaul maintenance of all electrical equipment such as low / high voltage motors, Transformers, Motor operating valve, low /high voltage switchboard (up to 11kV) and associated control panels, battery / battery charger UPS System, Batteries and lighting.

ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

• Regular contact within the division up to electrical supervisor level and occasionally with plant operators, Mechanical fitters, co-ordination of work.
• Occasional contact with operating authority supervisors for work permits and participate toolbox meeting.
•  Works according to established procedures, policies and approved programs.

WORK PERFORMED:

The Electrical Technician provided by the CONTRACTOR to ADMA-OPCO under this contract shall be required to undertake such duties as assigned to him by the Electrical Supervisor / Senior Electrical Technician or his delegate and will include, but not limited to the following;

• To cover the maintenance activities of Power Generation and Distribution on both NASR.
• To liase with the Electrical Supervisor / Senior Electrical Technician on the concerned complex for carrying out the Preventive, Breakdown and Shutdown maintenance of all Electrical Equipment.

• To carry out routine checks and arising system operational problems.

• Trouble shooting of Electrical equipment such as LV/HV Motors, Transformers, Motor Operated Valves, Rectifiers, UPS System, Battery Banks, Circuit Breakers, Lighting distribution etc.

• To carry out related duties such as preparing standardised report forms for Preventive/Breakdown/Shutdown maintenance works.

• Co-ordinate with other departments for Trouble shooting, Pre-Commissioning and commissioning of electrical equipment.

• Ensures availability of most commonly used spare parts, arranging stores, maintaining records of all items and reports to Senior Electrical Technician / Electrical Supervisor in case of shortage of any materials.

• To maintain Good house keeping of work sites.

SUBSIDUARY ACTIVITIES

Performs other related following duties delegated by SMTL such as;

• Assisting Electrical Supervisor in training of UAE national juniors.
• Participate in-group safety meeting.
• Participate in Emergency Team / Medical Team as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with ADMA-OPCO HSE regulations, procedures and standards.

KPI’s

• LTA rate targets set and bench marked against Industry standards. (TBA)
• Number of items overdue for planned maintenance (TBA).
• Number of reported Near miss and identified hazards. (TBA)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Secondary education certificate followed by 2 years formal training in electrical technology.

• 5 years experience in electric maintenance and repair work of H.V/L.V electrical equipment.

• Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
