Perform Supplier Source Inspections for Nuclear Projects at various stages of manufacturing to verify quality requirements specified in codes, standards and engineering documents are met. 

Responsibilities: 

Perform discipline specific inspections, examinations and witness tests that are required to be executed in accordance with documented procedures and/or industry practices for various power generation equipment, i.e. rotating equipment, pressure vessels, structural steel, piping, etc. 
Be familiar and demonstrate proficiency with tools and equipment employed in conducting inspections, examinations and tests. 
Capable of determining calibration status of measuring and test equipment (M&TE) determine M&TE is in suitable condition for use, and that inspection, examination, and test procedures are approved. 
Demonstrated capability in reporting inspection, examination, and testing results and in evaluating the validity and acceptability of inspection examination, and test results. Capable of review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and other design documents; perform field walk downs to determine work conforms with design documents, applicable codes and standards, and procedures. 
Understand the concepts for; procuring items/ equipment; maintaining traceability of material/items; document control; special processes; handling and storage. 
Must be willing to travel 100% if required. 

Good written and verbal communications skills

Job requirements

Knowledge and understanding of 10CFR50 Appendix B and NQA-1 QA program requirements and associated codes and standards. 
At least 5 years experience with hands on inspection of fabricated components in accordance with the requirements of various Codes and Standards, i.e. ASME Sections I, III & VIII, AWS, ANSI. 
Certification as an AWS/CWI or other recognized Welding Inspection Certification a plus. 
Capability of passing an Inspection Level II examination in accordance with ANSI N45.2.6
