Job Description
To develop, review and provide instruction on a variety of NPP General Training topics including but not limited to: Plant Access Training, Radiation Worker Training, Fire Watch Training and other NPP general training topics.
- Support needs analysis to formulate recommendations for training and non-training solution
- Develop objectives and examination tools to support training material design.
- Develop training material to meet program needs.
- Maintain training materials to ensure they remain current.
- Conduct technical training on NPP related topics
- Develop training plans as required to support training needs
- Collect and analyze attendant’s feedback (management team members and students) regarding training to identify improvement opportunities
- Support subject matter experts in training material development, maintenance and implementation to ensure training effectiveness.
- Provide input for development and maintenance of training schedules to support training implementation.
- Provide input for and conduct reviews of e-Learning modules under development to ensure training requirements and standards are incorporated.
- Provide input on required training facilities, equipment, materials and qualifications to ensure effective training program implementation
- Facilitate communication both internally and externally in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships
- Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, by delivery of the HSE Management Program to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality service and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on individuals and information assets.
Skills
- Classroom Instructor Certification
- 4 or more years of experience in plant access training in the commercial nuclear (or related) industry in fields related to security, operations, emergency preparedness, maintenance or engineering.
- Preferred 10 or more years of similar work in a related field
Experience as a nuclear, plant access authorization analyst, emergency preparedness specialist are desirable.
