Job Description

The Engineer – LPRM / GT-DAS Systems, Requirements, and Design role will be responsible for the integrated Local Power Range Monitor (LPRM) with Gamma Thermometer (GT) and supporting Data Acquisition System (DAS) solution. The purpose and scope includes leading all activities and deliverables required to complete final design and development from new technology introduction (NTI) through new product introduction (NPI) and overall integration into the ESBWR plant design. 
In addition, you will: 
Perform as Lead System Engineer (LSE) for critical sub-system developing plans, requirements, and conceptual design documents derived from existing or evolving basis or sources including; US NRC design certification, global requirements envelope of nuclear regulations and international standards, integrated plant design driven functional and performance characteristics or goals as well as customer specific design requirements 
Prepare or lead development of technical requirement, design specification, and analysis documents as well as associated diagrams / drawings for system, sub-systems, and functions covering all aspects of structures, systems, and components (SSCs) for both in-core instrument assembly and digital I&C solution 
Complete the NTI program for new build LPRM / GT-DAS and 3DM-GT data logger computer test equipment for CFE Laguna Verde Unit 2 
Establish and operationalize integrated LPRM / GT-DAS, 3DM-GT data logger computer, 3DM plant process computer, and inter-operable networking test setup in GEH I&C facility 
Plan, train, install, and commission new equipment at CFE Laguna Verde Unit 2 in Mexico 
Develop ESBWR sub-NPI scope, budget, and schedule for actual LPRM / GT-DAS equipment, both in-core instrument assembly and digital I&C solution 
Complete system and software development lifecycle (SDLC) from Tollgate 0 – Planning through Tollgate 6 – Test and Validation 
Interface with multi-discipline engineers [e.g.; instrumentation, digital control, electrical, mechanical, HFE] 
Perform as Technical Project Engineer (TPE) for system development as well as drive cross- functional interfaces [e.g.; project management, cost estimating, scheduling, sourcing, quality] and third party interfaces

Search for, identify, organize, and develop technical information in both description and requirements definition forms 
Identify, define, elaborate or elicit, document, and implement requirements as well as develop their associated document hierarchies or schemas 
Use rigorous processes, procedures, and instructions as well as proper techniques in DOORS to ensure that applicable regulations, industry standards, customer technical requirements as well as design documents are properly administered [e.g.; authored or loaded, attributed, parsed, allocated, and linked with traceability metrics] 
Use concurrently a wide variety of information management and configuration management environments [e.g.; DOORS, eMatrix, ENOVIA, and SmartPlant] 
Prepare technical documents including specifications, diagrams / drawings, analysis and simulation models using applicable engineering design, development, and automation tools 
Perform peer reviews and independent design verifications (IDV) of requirements artifacts, documents, diagrams / drawings, analysis and simulation models, etc. 
Develop work authorizations (WAs), discipline work plans (DWP), scopes of work (SOW), level 5 work plans (L5WP), and schedules covering planning, requirements, and design / development phases for initiatives, phases, blocks, and collections of deliverables 
Develop all applicable procurement package documentation 
Drive statement of work (SOW), purchase order, and deliverables receiving processes from beginning to end for sub-contracted work 
Support LEAN Six Sigma or continuous process improvement, cost-out and productivity, design for six sigma (DFSS), design for reliability (DFR), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) programs 
Ensure compliance with GEH internal processes, US and international industry regulations and standards 
Deliver with integrity, safety and security, quality, and then output – While meeting aggressive scope, project development budget and design to cost, as well as schedule targets

Job requirements

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Engineering or Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics 
Minimum of 3 years of design, development, and deployment of nuclear instrumentation or supporting monitoring or control or electrical systems for complex, high reliability, and harsh environment industrial facilities or power plants

Minimum of 3 years of performing nuclear safety analysis using advanced computer programs 
–OR– 
Minimum of 3 years of performing nuclear reactor fuel design or reload licensing using advanced computer programs 
–OR– 
Minimum of 3 years of developing advanced methods and software used for nuclear safety analysis or reactor fuel design and reload licensing or 3D monitoring product software [e.g.; 3DMonicore / ACUMEN] used in nuclear power plant process computers
