PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ROLE AND SCOPE:
- Provides onsite technical support to field operations to ensure continuous, efficient and safe operations. Monitors operational performance of plant/Equipment and system. Assists review/vision of operating/commissioning procedures for routine and non-routine activities in liaison with OIU for operguid methodology for all plants including super complex, wellheads and pipelines. Provides support and advice to Wellhead Towers & Pipelines, Process and Utilities operations Team Leaders on HSE issues. Provides technical assistant in trouble shooting, operating philosophy and operational risk assessment. Provides high level input on Process Philosophy, Safety and De-bottlenecking studies. Co-ordinates with Planning and Operations Engineering to review PMR 's, WR 'sand services including technology access. Provides technical support and guidance in achieving Key Performance Targets.
Principal Accountabilities:
Technical input:-
- Provides technical guidance and support for Operating procedures for all USAU site including super complex, well heads and pipelines prepared by USAU process plant, well heads and utilities teams,
- Studies and suggest plant modifications and provides justification to enhance plant operations and HSE aspects,
- Reviews of relevant Process portion of work package including safety studies, O&M philosophy, Process & debottlenecking studies, PFD's, P&Jds, pre- commissioning/commissioning procedures for new projects from FES & FESU,
- Participates actively in asset long term and master planning including replacement studies and budgeting
- Reviews and provides process input for Plant Modification and Work Requests,
- Provides site data for various project activities, discharge inventory, emissions, ... etc.
- Initiates and conducts various studies related lo operation problems, e.g. review of chemical injection philosophy, handling higher production, foaming problem in gas dehydration, minimize flaring ... etc.
Plant Operations/Maintenance:-
- Monitors operations performance of plant/equipment and system
- Provides technical assistant in Process trouble shooting
- Provides onsite technical support to field operations
- Breakdown !failure plant trip investigation and correction
- Provides assistance and liaise with OIU to add missing process control and HSE critical items and carryout periodic audits
- Monitors chemical consumption for ensuring optimum usage
- Maintains daily contacts with plant personnel to unsure proper scheduling of event, trouble shoot problematic areas, recommend short term and long term solutions
- Assists in plant operation evaluation, test runs and trials for process upgrade.
Liaison/Co-ordination Role :-
- Reviews follow-ups and updates Risk Register
- Coordinates with Planning & Operations Engineering Teams for reviewing PMR and WR 's
- Liaises with work associates in US Asset Operation, Operations Engineering, Facilities Engineering and Operations Integrity Teams
- Liaises with Laboratory Unit for testing of samples and evaluate results.
Operating Proceedures:-
- Reviews operating procedures for routine & non-routine activities in liaison with OIU for OPERGUID methodology format
- Reviews operating manuals, process drawings, data sheets for site
- Reviews shutdown, isolation and pre-commissioninglcommissiong procedures.
HSE Role:-
- Follows up and ensure implementation of annual HSE programs
- Reviews and participates in process safety studies including HAZOP, HAZAN, QRA,
PHSER, Risk Assessment, Radiation, Cold venting, Safety Case, Hazardous Area Classification & Register of Safety related items
- Follows up and update Risk Register
- Participates in operational risk assessment
- Monitors and ensures environmental emissions and implementation of recommendations of such studies as well as OIAS Shareholder's audit
- Provides supports and advice to Towers & Pipelines, Process and Utilities Operations teams on HSE issues
- Carries out self audit on HSE activities and operating procedures and reports findings to Section Leader, Provides technical data for ISO 18001.
Other Related Duties:
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Supervisor such as:
participates in various tasks force, evaluates of various suggestions/ideas for improvements of the plant operations. keeps technical records of all process plants, attends various routine and non routine meetings.
Communications & Organisational Relationships:
- Daily contacts with Towers & Pipelines, Process and Utilities Operations teams, down to Supervisor level for exchange of technical information and solve problems related to Operations.
- Regular contacts with contractor's personnel at equivalent level to follow-up and discuss operating/commissioning procedures requirement for new projects.
- Provides technical input according to Com" pany established policy, procedures and appropriate programmes.
- Completed work is subject to review by Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements [Knowledge Skills & Experience]:
- Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- 6 years experience in operation/maintenance of oil/gas production or petrochemical process plants, of which at least 2 years in Supervisory capacity.
- Very good knowledge of English.
Preference given to Applicants with Offshore work Experience and who can join immediately
