Job Details

JOB PURPOSE:

Lead the Operations & Commissioning Mechanical and rotating machinery Team through the detailed engineering, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning for wide range of static and rotating mechanical equipment. Followed by planning, direct supervision and controls of the operation and maintenance activities of the NASR facilities in line with the Maintenance Strategy & Policy.

Lead the supervision of major overhaul works and the installation of new mechanical equipments as carried out either by the asset manpower teams or contractors. Ensures availability of suitable spares and consumable items.Applies ADMA-OPCO Maintenance policy & strategy.Ensures safe and efficient operation whilst meeting the complexes power requirements and the Company’s water injection, Oil & Gas production targets in terms of quality and quantity.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Lead Mechanical & Rotating Machinery team for implementation of Operation, Maintenance, Integrity and commissioning strategies.
  • Lead selection of theMechanical & Rotating Machinery Commissioning /operation teams in accordance to staffing plan and organization structure and ensure selected team members are competent and follow safe work practices.
  • Support OCM to develop commissioning contracts and ensure support services for rotating / mechanical equipments are arranged including LTSA development.
  • Lead all the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities related to rotating / mechanical equipments according to the approved operation readiness matrix and commissioning philosophy under directives of Operation and Commissioning Managerin order to achieve a safe, healthy, environmentally friendly, on-time and within budget realization of the project. And ensure operation‘s involvement is provided till the final hand over of the project.
  • Lead Mechanical & Rotating Machinery to confirm the performance of the safety critical elements through testing as identified in the technical assurance plan for FAT & SAT.
  • Lead Mechanical & Rotating Machinery Team to follow up the EPC contractor delivery of documents for the equipment two years spares and ensure that the insurance spare parts are prepared, recorded and registered within the Company Asset Management.
  • Lead Mechanical & Rotating Machinery team to be In line with the developed criteria for facility performance during start–up and early operation to ensure reliability and satisfactory of the first 2 years operations including Warranty period management.
  • Ensure the successful closeout of all outstanding engineering, construction and punch list issues related rotating / mechanical equipments
  • Lead Mechanical & Rotating Machinery team to implement the preservation approved methodologies of the unused equipment (Surface/Sub-surface), and the de-mothballing when ready for commissioning for successful conclusion of the project. Ensure equipment preservation is being carried out and documented.
  • Lead the preparation and development of the vendor training planfor the Mechanical & Rotating Machinery team personnel within the project scope both before and after the hand-over to ensure that the O&M personnel are fully competent for the operation of the new equipments. And propose the special training requirement for the site operation personnel.
  • Support training and the development of the Asset’s assigned UAE National employees, and prepares structured development / familiarization programs with proper coordination with O  & C Manager.
  • Post start up / hand over:
  • Plans, supervises and coordinates the activities of personnel assigned to plant/field operation, rotating / mechanical equipments. Performs supervisory duties and exercises financial authority at the level established by management for the position. Ensures that performance of Mechanical & Rotating Machinery team meet the set Key Performance Indicators.
  • Plans, directs and controls the equipment maintenance of the Oil & Gas, power generation and water injection plants in line with ADMA-OPCO Maintenance Policy Strategy, to ensure safe and efficient operations and achieving injection targets and ensure electrical power, air and quality requirements are met.
  • Ensures appropriate implementation of the developed OPERGUID procedures for plant preparation for maintenance and makes sure of regular review and update of procedures for optimization and safe operations.
  • Maintains plant and equipment in a fit-for purpose condition through implementation of maintenance schedules and maintenance procedures. Prepares long and short-term plans of preventive maintenance work for all rotating / mechanical equipmentson the Super Complex. Ensures all remedial actions for NMI / Internal and external audits / under his responsibility are prioritized and cleared in a reasonable time.
  • Supervises maintenance / repair work carried out by contractors on the Super Complex to ensure compliance with specifications, code of practice and scope of work determined, recommends acceptance of completed. Ensures implementation of all modification, maintenance and fabrication works are carried out on the Production plant areas in adherence to the Company’s Standards and set specifications.
  • Reviews and approves recommendations on appropriate technical actions to secure appropriate running of equipment and plants. Analyses plants performance and maintenance costs statistics provided by Operations Integrity Unit, and recommends improvement of Maintenance Strategies and spare parts stock utilization. Approves subordinates proposals of modifications required and methods of improvements.
  • Participates in maintenance planning by reviewing / reporting anticipated future requirements of overhauls, maintenance, repairs and spare parts, changing frequency of inspection according to work requirements and updating work identification system of routing maintenance and regular checks to rectify defects.
  • Ensures efficient monitoring / checking of plant and equipment performance, inspects / investigates abnormalities and recommends appropriate actions and participates in commissioning of new installations in conjunction with the relevant Project Team Leaders. Coordinates with Operations Integrity Unit the initiation and preparation of major work packages.
  • Ensures proper adherence and implementation of the HSE program, site waste management system and subordinates adherence to established company’s procedures, regulations and standards. Works to agreed action plans and group objectives. Ensure the teammate to raise annotation ideas for practical applications.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Daily contact with Operation & Commissioning Manager/  UL Field Manager and other relevant operation support groups to ensure that project objectives, plans and monitoring methodology are complying with project management requirements and guidelines.
  • Daily contacts with Project engineers to discuss and exchange information
  • Daily contacts with Mechanical / Rotating  PMC / EPC engineers on design progress issues.
  • Frequent contacts with Team Leaders and other Units to coordinate work.
  • Works in accordance with professional standards, company engineering codes and established procedures.
  • Work accomplishment is subject to review by line operation and commissioning manager.
  • Daily contacts with other Team Leaders on the Super Complex for general co-ordination of operation, production and maintenance activities.
  • Regular contacts with Onshore based TL’s, SL’s and Engineers for liaison and exchange of operation, maintenance and technical information.
  • Frequent contacts with contractor’s personnel / engineers for exchange of information, fulfillment of terms of contacts and for familiarization on new equipment and to ensure compliance with HSE Protocol.
  • Works according to established company procedures and professional standards.Exercises latitude in directing the work of the team by determining work methods from several existing alternatives. Completed work is subject to general review by line supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

  • B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 8 Years experience in the operation and / or maintenance of offshore oil / gas production facilities in process, plant and machinery (including gas turbines) o maintenance of which three years should have been in an engineer / supervisory capacity.
  • Very good knowledge of English.
