We are recruiting on behalf of a leading International company who are putting a team together at FEED Stage for a major upstream Oil & Gas Development in UAE
Starting Date: Immediate
Project Description: Urgently Hiring experienced Personnel's to join the Engineering team in Dubai , EPC FEED projects in Oil&Gas
Location: Middle East
Country: United Arab Emirates
Duration of the Contract: Minimum 1 year (Extendable) 
Benefits/ Contract Terms: Employment contract in Dubai. A monthly allowance of 8.5% , payable each 3 months , is given if you don’t use your leaves.
Flight tickets are covered for a total amount of 500$ both ways.
Work permit and medical insurance provided.
Jobs Responsibilities
  • Documentation Production - Originating / Checking / Approving
a) Production of documents as per the latest Engineering Design Assurance Procedure.
b) Originating of the following documents
· Critical Engineering Activities & Documentation: Philosophies, Reports, Basis of Design, Technical Queries, Specifications, Scope of Work, Material Requisition, Technical Bid Evaluations, Vendor Data Review, Participate in Design & Safety Reviews, Calculations, Lists, Schedules, MTO’s, Datasheets, Drawings, Details, etc.
· Non-critical Engineering Documentation: Calculations, Lists, Schedules, MTO’s, Datasheets, Drawings, Details, Site Surveys, etc.
c) Checking of the following documents
· All Critical & Non-critical Engineering Documentation listed above.
d) Approving of the following documents
· All Critical & Non-critical Engineering Documentation listed above.
  • Resource Management
a) Planning, Identifying, and weekly updating of project resource requirements to meet schedule and man-hour budgets
b) Engaging with Project Management & other disciplines leads, and Head of Department to determine project resource requirements.
c) Timely updating of Resource Allocation Tool, man-hour forecasting, with correct information
  • Quality Management
a) Responsible for overall performance with regards to technical quality for Project discipline in accordance with Quality Plan
b) Ensuring that the Corporate Technical Assurance requirements have been met;
· Ensuring the Project Change Management Process is being adhered to.
· Ensuring the Engineering Design Assurance (Generating / Checking / Approval) Process is being adhered to.
· Adequately Performing Competency Assessment
· Ensuring Technical Queries are being raised in adherence to Technical Query Process
· Ensuring Project Technical Issues are being captured on the Technical Actions Register
· Ensuring that excessive documents revisions are not generated. (Ensuring the Comment Resolution Sheet are utilized and effective communication lines)
  • Estimating / Bids / Proposals
a) Providing scope input to proposals: identifying the Work Break Down Structure (WBS) of the facility, equipment, process and services associated with the new scope.
b) Providing an accurate list of engineering deliverables & activities associated with the scope & WBS.
c) Ensuring in-depth review of scope to ensure the full scope is understood / all required inputs are identified / gaps in information are identified / risks are identified
d) Ensuring external 3rd party scopes are clear and 3rd party proposals are reviewed and challenged to drive down the price.
e) Ensuring CTR sheet is filled out correctly with correct formatting requirements.
f) Raising clarification points, attending site visit, determining project deliverables, providing qualifications and assumptions
  • Project Planning / Project Setup
a) Ensuring Department Key Activity Milestone Inputs are identified with sufficient quality prior to the interactive planning session
b) Ensuring Project plans are developed to optimize efficiency & productivity
c) Participate in Project Set-up Interactive Planning session
d) Ensuring deliverable planned issue dates are updated and reviewed on the Project MDR. This will be submitted to client as Project Baseline Plan
e) Ensuring Project Resourcing Plan is updated and allocated in Resource Allocation Tool (RAT) & in line with CTR Budgets and Deliverable & Milestone schedule requirements
  • Performance Against Schedule
a) Ensuring timely (weekly) updating of Project Master Deliverables Register (MDR) with Forecast dates
b) Ensuring performance against deliverable and milestone schedule requirements.
c) Ensuring the Project Change Management Process is being followed with respect to logging of schedule changes.
d) Ensuring that schedule issues are brought to the attention of other Lead Engineer, Project engineer, & Project Management
e) Proactive approach towards performance against project schedule
  • Performance Against Budget
a) Ensuring performance against project budget requirements.
b) Ensuring good productivity rating within discipline
c) Ensuring the Project Change Management Process is being followed with respect to raising of PCR’s
d) Ensuring that budget issues are brought to the attention of project management team early
e) Proactive approach towards managing discipline/department performance against budget
Work-share
a) Ensuring positive and productive work-share relationships within department/discipline between offices.
b) Ensuring work-share transfer packs are created in line with company work-share procedure & standard templates.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with relevant discipline from recognized university
  • Master’s degree in relevant discipline will be an added advantage
Knowledge / Experience (Skills):
Essential
  • Experiance of Oil & Gas Design Experience.
Advantage
  • Previous experience in Region
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in FEED projects
  • Engineering design in-depth knowledge of oil and gas pipelines and associated systems such as pump stations, compressor stations, metering and regulating stations, slug catchers, tank farms and other facilities.
  • Must be experienced with all aspects of design from concept to detailed design
  • Feasibility studies, conceptual design, FEED, detail design, procurement support, construction, testing and commissioning.
  • Piping design, stress analysis, piping material selection, equipment and rotating machinery.
  • Ability to produce specifications, datasheets, material requisitions and piping layouts.
  • Ability to produce drawings such as piping layouts, plot plans, general arrangements and isometrics.
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D CADD applications
  • Knowledge of PDS or equivalent software
  • Working knowledge on international codes, standards and engineering practices
  • Must have a demonstrable ability to provide top class engineering deliverables, as directed by the Project Study lead, without constant supervision, as per company technical competency standards.
