Missions
- Structural design of nuclear steam Generator, pressurizer and other pressure vessels including their associated internals.
- Support manufacturing engineers in resolving fabrication related (welding, machining, forming etc.) issues and problems.
- Understand and use advanced design and analysis techniques related to pressure vessels.
- Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Structural Design) is required and a Master’s Degree is preferred.
- The candidate must be capable of using finite element analysis software.
- ABAQUS experience is a plus.
- The job involves the use of standard and advanced structural analysis methods in the design of pressure vessels and their associated internals.
- Examples of the advanced methods used in the design process are elastic/plastic analysis, vibration and shock analysis, weld modeling, thermal/mechanical analysis, fatigue and brittle fracture analysis.
- The selected candidate will work in a team comprising of thermal/hydraulic, manufacturing, welding, project and QA engineers to evaluate and optimize pressure vessel designs.
- The candidates will also be working closely with manufacturing and project engineers to resolve fabrication related issues.
- Knowledge of ASME Section III Code rules and a PE license is a plus.
