Conduct the review of upstream material and spare parts ensuring deliveries meet the requirements, and ensure material data is recorded and updated appropriately in SAP. 

• Review the operations requirements to ensure that adequate buying descriptions and all necessary ifnormaton is provided for spare parts, equipment details, tag numbers, use of relevant and correct part numbers and qualificaiton of spare parts required. etc.

• Laise with maintenace users, inventory control, warehousing staff and vendors/manufacturers to  check and verify the data entered and compare with vendor drawings and/or manuals for specificaitons and othe particulars realted to materials.  Maintain materials data as appropriate and update material buying description.

• Inspect physically all new project spares and mateials to ensure compliance with purchase order specificaitons.

• Review the SAP database wtih revised items description and specificaions after materials receipt in case of propriety items or when contractor fails to provide sufficient information..

• Ensure continuous review of mateirls for all new project materials and catalogue items created.

• Allocate and recommedn chagnes to catalogues in order to eliminate conflicting catalogue items and ensure correct interface range of items with SAP.   

Educational Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrument  Engineering

Experience:

• 3 years' relevant experience in Material management in Oil & Gas  Industry .

•     Technical Knowledge and experience with application of a wide variety of materils of construction used in the oil & gas petrochemical industry  
•     Familair with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (SAP)

•     Good knowledge of written and spoken English.  Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
