Job Purpose:

Supervises and controls all activities in Company Transport Yard. Supervises and Checks the maintenance and repair of Mobile Plant & Equipment and Light Duty Vehicles and also provides transportation service to Company Island. Responsible for hiring and maintaining a proper fleet of light duty vehicles for various disciplines of Company under the Hire of Vehicles Contract.

Principal Accountabilities:

Supervises all kinds of lifting operations around the Harbour for General Services Team & Warehouse Section. Supervises and directs the maintenance contractor workforce in the daily maintenance activities of the Section.

Prepares Lifting Plans for lifting operations around the Harbour for General Services Team & Warehouse Section. Endorse & Evaluate Lifting Plans for Das Maintenance Team & other areas.

Monitors and submit reports on the mechanical, auto electrical, body work repairs and day-today maintenance of all mobile plant carried out by the maintenance contractor.

Ensures replacement parts which are supplied I fitted under the lump sum and cost plus part of the maintenance contract are genuine parts as recommended by the manufacturer.

Ensures the maintenance contractor carries out maintenance work as per Company I Manufacturers recommendation, keeps documented records of all repairs/maintenance that have been carried out and any damages to the mobile plant through poor operations or accidents is reported immediately to Comapny General Support Services Team Leader.

Identifies the work and renewal required to re-instate mobile plant and associated equipment to acceptable levels. Writes Scope of work for these requirements to put in hand by the garage operator and in certain cases such works are monitored by a third party.

Ensures the routine, intermediate and major inspection/maintenance checks sheets are tailored to the individual types of plant, so that the inspection/maintenance programmes result in optimum plant efficiency with minimal down time and economic utilization of consumable spares and manpower.

Ensures proper Permits are in-hand while carrying out all kinds of lifting operations. Provides efficient services of Mobile Plant and equipment to support/meet operations/maintenance requirements and (endorses necessary work schedules of varying periods to ensure efficient utilization of these available resources/facilities).

Monitors the utilization of all equipment to evaluate its usefulness to Company operation and for distributing charges to third parties.

Administers the execution of Service contract to ensure adherence to contract clauses/obligations, efficiency of services provided, allocation of costs, control of expenditure, personnel work/leave cycle, compliance with OPCO's Safety Standards and Regulations.

Ensures regular maintenance of Fire Extinguishers is carried out by the Fire Extinguisher Specialist. Interviews contractor's workforce for recruitment upon award of contract and for numerical replacement.

Implements necessary testing for issuing Green Square Certification for Company and various Contractors Mobile Plant & Equipment.

Prepares the Section's Capital and Operating budget with necessary forecast based on the survey of requirements. Collects information on estimates of expected costs, verifies and passes to GSSTL for endorsement.

Monthly preparation of Vehicles Registration and Security documents for Police Authorities, and ensures that all vehicles comply with regional Traffic Laws for Traffic Committee's approval.

Implements standards and working practices and ensures that work is performed in accordance with Company standards and HSE Regulations.

Undertakes duties and responsibilities of position in line with the requirements of the Health, Safety & Environmental Systems and ensures the workforce is properly advised on all requirements.

Ensures that the contractor has HSEMS and applies it. Carries out Site Audits to ensure compliance with Company HSE Regulations.

Works in line with HSE policy, and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.

Minimum Requirements [Knowledge Skills & Experience]:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent.

5 - 6 years' experience in Supervisory position.

Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.

Must possess a valid UAE Driving License.
