About the Job
  • The job holder is responsible to monitor the Physical Distribution of Company products in the region, starting from the production plants onwards including the reverse flow or returns. This role adopts the assets, contracts and standards set by Global SCM.
  •  The role is a key stake holder and is required to provide inputs and also validation when contracts and standards are in the design / evaluation phase by Procurement / Global SCM.
  • The role is responsible for all HSE and Operational excellence through KPI setting and its monitoring of LSPs (Logistics Service Providers)
  • The job holder through “cost to serve” monitoring, on transaction level, impacts key decisions which influence sales margin such as amendments in Inventory Holding Point, vendor selection etc.
  • The role in involved in all future logistics network designs and its roll out in line with Regional sales objectives.
  • The job plays a key role in providing solution to all issues which regularly crop up on the distribution brought about by various trade restrictions related to both Tariff and Non-Tariff barriers.
  • The role also provides solutions to any required changes in product packaging, post packaging at plant, with cost estimates, coordinating the raising of LPO.
  • The role interacts with Procurement to provide solutions and indentify initiatives for cost optimization and sustainability drives for inward movement of raw material to onsite Plants.
 
    
About You As a successful candidate, you should possess: 
Knowledge: 
  • Relevant Educational degree with preferred specialization in International Business and preferably Engineering at undergraduate level
  • Good Knowledge of Trade terminologies like INCO terms, Hague Visby Rules, UCPDC
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, MS Office and other standard packages
  • Knowledge of the Regional and Market Center strategy and Customer priorities
  • Good knowledge of entire Supply Chain’s product and applications
  • Good knowledge of supply chain processes, standards and procedures
  • Knowledge of HSE and new initiatives like SQAS etc
 
Experience:
  • Around 10 years of well rounded work experience (commercial/logistics/business administration)
  • Some experience with Customs processes and trade measures preferred
 
Skills:
  • Mastery of English as a Business language
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to leading and work in diverse teams
  • Excellent Problem solver
  • Ability to work under pressure 
  • Strong analytical skills
