JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE
Direct, manage and establish the activities of the Internal Audit Department while bearing ultimate responsibility for providing assurance to the Board Audit Committee over enterprise wide internal controls within Company, including identifying opportunities to enhance shareholder value through providing recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of procedures within the business. The Internal Audit is an independent and objective business consulting function that will help Company achieve its objectives by adopting a systematic, robust approach towards risk, internal controls and the governance process.
MAIN DUTIES
Understands and promotes the company’s health, safety & environmental policy and objectives; performs work in accordance with the company’s established rules, regulations and approved procedures; intervenes to stop unsafe acts and practices; and is accountable for the well being and safety of own self and others, including all contracted labor force — unskilled, semiskilled, and skilled.
Manages and controls the activities of assigned personnel in the team. Performs supervisory functions and exercises financial authority in accordance with the delegation of authority manual.
Plans, directs and actively participates in the ongoing training and development of own self and subordinates with special emphasis on UAE Nationals. This includes assessing employees’ training and development needs, directing the preparation of structured development programs, monitoring progress and counseling trainees on alternative career paths and job profiles available in the company.
Prepares the annual and long term audit plans based on COSO framework and consultation with GMC-A and Audit committee for approvals.
Leads and establishes a quality control program over Internal Audit activities, and ensures departmental processes, methodologies and workflows are effective (including project planning, resource management, file review, reporting, and follow up).
Conducts ad-hoc special projects as requested by the Board of Directors, Audit Committee or the CEO, whilst maintaining the independence and objectivity required by internal audit functions.
Advises the Executive Team, Audit Committee member and Board members on relevant audit and corporate governance issues, ensuring that detailed value adding audit reports and recommendations are provided in a timely fashion.
Leads and oversees the implementation of the audit risk assessments (Entity Level Controls as per 0080) to determine the nature of operations and Identify high risk areas.
Provides periodic reports to ET and Audit committee members on significant Divisional / Departmental affairs.
Acts as a secretary for Audit and Ethics Committees
Controls all activities undertaken and comply with anti-bribery practices.
Ensures adequate corporate governance exists to provide suitable transparency in business practices.
Ensures minimum acceptable standards and control frameworks are in place which meet both Company and Internal Audit objectives
Ensures adoption of the latest and applicable Information Technology Control Standards
Ensures Compliance with Statutory requirements (such as ADAA / State Audit Institutions)
Ensures consolidation of audits reports performed on Company by HQ, shareholders/other external agencies.
Contributes to the development to Emiratization program of the Company.
Works as a Corporate Consultancy function with Business owners to provide independent strategic support to add value and help achieve corporate goal
Performs any other related duties as and when required at the company’s discretion.

Ensures the independence and objectivity of the function from interference from other organizations in determining the scope of internal auditing, performance of work and communicating results
The Internal Audit Manager administratively reports to the Chief Executive Officer and functionally reports to Audit Committee.
Work is governed by the Internal Audit Charter approved by the Audit Committee in line with standards set by the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority.

Professional Bodies Build, develop and maintain necessary relationships (quarterly).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Ensures adequate controls are in place to facilitate the monitoring of efficiency and effectiveness of all activities.
· Ensures the overall operations of the Internal Audit on behalf of the Board Audit Committee and Chief Executive Officer.
· Responsible to create an effective strategic direction roadmap, which covers the values, mission, and objectives of Internal Audit now and in the future;
JOB REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATION
· Bachelor Degree in Business / Commerce / Accounting or related discipline.
· Internationally recognized qualifications (e.g. CA/ACCA/CPA/ CISA/ CFE) specialized in auditing, financial analysis, and business process
· PhD, MBA or other post-graduate Degree highly preferable
WORK EXPERIENCE
· Minimum of 15 years work experience at a senior management level in auditing and/or accounting functions within the oil & gas environment out of which 7 years in a supervisory capacity.
