·       Supervises the activities of the Instrument Maintenance Technicians according to Company maintenance procedures, and schedules and ensure that work objectives and programmes are implemented.

·       Initiate cold/hot work permits and complimentary permits for works to be performed. Ensure that all necessary procedures and standing orders are followed while the equipment is made ready for safe maintenance intervention after Production approval

·       Responsible for the development of preventive and routine maintenance schedules, ensuring that all maintenance is carried out during planned shutdowns and that all standby units are fully operational.

·       Reviews and issue work orders and determine maintenance and repair priorities in consultation with operations personnel. Initiate and implement necessary instrument and system modifications in line with operational and plant shutdown requirements or Team Leader / Island Manager, according to company policy and standards.

·       Prepares budgets and detailed work programmes and preventive maintenance schedules for instrumentation and control equipment, in conjunction with other section involved.

·       For the Forthcoming and new projects being implemented, As applicable monitor construction & commissioning activities, as applicable within other trades, and ensure that these activities are carried out in accordance with the work permits issued

·       Reviews inventories of spare parts and materials  at Islands to ensure availability for required work programmes, issue requisitions for stock materials and prepare requisitions for purchase items for Island Manager approval.

·       Supervises defect maintenance and repair work on instrumentation, control Fire and Gas system and telecommunication systems involving field instruments, control room, telecommunications equipment for Company use, fire and gas system, and packages instrument and control.

·       Implements and follow-up Development Programme of UAE Nationals Developees and regularly assesses them.

·       Monitors the performance of subordinates and appraise their performance in a quarterly and annual basis. Subsequently, identifies training needs of subordinates especially UAE Nationals

• BSc. in Instruments Engineering or equivalent degree.
• 10 years of maintenance experience of which at least 5 years including at a supervisory position in an oil, gas or petrochemical industry.
• Good working knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office programs.
• Fluent in English language, both written and verbal with high communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under stress, handle difficult situations and decision making.

• Reporting to section Team leader with individual Sr. Technicians as direct subordinates.
• Liaise with site departments and base support units.

• Works in accordance with established procedures and specialized technical standards.
• Exercises discretion in planning work, deciding priorities and evaluating performance values. Work is reviewed by his Team leader
