Key Accountabilities
The Information Management (IM) Lead Technology Project Leader will be a subject matter expert in Plant and Accessory Design software tools.
The mission of the ETCoE Digital Plant Design Team is to deploy enterprise plant and accessory design software such as the SmartPlant Enterprise suite of tools and other similar software. In this position, you will set-up, configure and manage SmartPlant P&ID and related software tools. You will be accountable for guiding technical activities including requirements gathering, configuration of tool and reports and customizations, installation and administration of software, documentation of all methods and work instructions, integration testing, training and supporting users supporting software upgrades, integration testing, user acceptance testing and backups. These activities range from medium to very high complexity and involve all areas of the IT lifecycle, from business requirement gathering through production support.
This posting is for an IM Lead Technology Project Leader in the ETCoE Digital Plant Design team.
Applicants are expected to be subject matter experts in SmartPlant P&ID with a working knowledge of SmartPlant Foundation and have experience in nuclear and plant design.
In addition, you will:
- Have experience with Process flow diagrams and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams
- Work with a global team, Engineering Procurement and Construction partners and third party vendors to ensure on-time project delivery and the highest level of quality
- Set-up, develop, configure and administer SmartPlant P&ID
- Set-up, develop and configure Aspen Basic Engineering Be experienced in the integration of Aspen Basic Engineering with SmartPlant Foundation Be experienced in symbol creation and borders
- Be experienced in configuring reports such as Line Lists, Valve Lists and Equipment Lists
- Be experienced in the use of Engineering Manager and assigning permissions and access to plants Create new plant structure
- Be experienced in correlation with other SmartPlant Enterprise tools such as Smart Plant Instrumentation, SmartPlant Electrical and SmartPlant 3D through SmartPlant Foundation
- Be experienced in the use of Smart Sketch Be experience in the implementation of automation utilities
- Be experienced maintaining the data dictionary including select lists, code lists and standard reference data
- Be experience setting up an integrated environment and working with other SmartPlant Enterprise tools including smartPlant Foundation
- Estimate development activities
- Project set-up and maintenance
- Install application software upgrades and service packs
- Provide trouble shooting, help desk and one-on-one support to end users
- Document work instructions
- Serve as a liaison with functional groups, assist in planning and execution of multiple, simultaneous IT solution initiative
- Support project proposal development including scope definition, bid document preparation, configuration, implementation, tracking and control of projects
- Provide technical direction with a multi-disciplinary project team including coaching and technical direction to meet project deliverables
- Develop scope-of-work specifications including those of contractors / subcontractors where appropriate
- Assist with project support activities, including the development of internal and external communications, establishing roadmaps and benchmarks and developing training plans
- Support, advise, assist, guide and resolve problems for client leaders and users
- Ensure conformance to system architecture, standards and practices Lead in the evaluation / implementation of third party software solutions Initiate direct communication with specific customers, clients, suppliers and systems personnel
- Stay current with enabling technologies and promote their use
- Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SmartPlant P&ID
