Job purpose & Scope:
Support effective implementation of HSEMS expectations through monitoring closure of relevant corrective and preventive actions identified from
- Serious Incident Investigations,
- Corporate HSE Audits,
- Corporate Health, Hygiene, Welfare and Environmental Inspections
- Shareholders Audits when applicable
Principal Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement a process to manage a centralized HSE compliance actions tracking system to with an aim to follow up status of relevant actions arising from ADNOC Offshore Company/shareholders Audits, Serious incidents and relevant other inspections or sources
- Develops a process for verifying closure of management endorsed actions and an evidence approval scheme.
- Ensures that relevant data ( actions and evidences) are updated into the ADNOC Offshore HSE action tracking system.
- Provides support to HSE-Operations advisors and accountable parties in tracking and prioritizing action in relation with the above scope.
- Provides support to HSE-Operations advisors in reviewing action plans and corrective actions addressing documented non-conformances from audits relevant recommendations identified from serious incident investigations.
- Communicate with assigned actions owners to update status of pending action items till closure or dismissal Manage the requirements of the HSE Action Tracking Module in the HSE Information Management System (HSEIMS).
- Provide regular progress reports on action closure status to the Management and involved ADNOC Offshore stakeholders.
Organizational Relationships (Work Contacts):
- Act as a single focal point responsible for action tracking and follow-up on behalf of Corporate HSE.
- Regular contact with operating sites and engineering staff in various departments.
Independence of Operations and Decision-making Authority:
- Works according to Company HSEMS requirements.
- Uses initiative for non-routine Action Tracking requirements.
- Exercise expert judgment in identifying HSE critical issues and flag areas of concerns to respective departments and HSE Management.
- Complete work is reviewed by HSE Compliance Assurance Manager.
Physical Effort:
- Medium. Occasional Trips to Offshore Sites required.
Work Environment:
- Normally air-conditioned environment. Exposure to prevailing weather when visiting site areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- B.Sc. in mechanical/chemical/Safety engineering or equivalent and an HSE related certificate or Diploma (NEBOSH).
- 10 years’ experience in HSE.
- 8 years minimum experience in Oil and Gas industry.
- Excellent command of verbal and written English.
- Knowledge of HSEMS implementation and action tracking requirements.
- Knowledge of MS office.
