The Head of Corporate Risk is responsible for developing the steady state risk management programme, in line with the requirements of SOER 2015-2, ensuring adequate coverage of Risk Information exists across the organisation, both in availability of data and quality of data to ensure analysis and reporting requirements of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function are fulfilled.
The Head of Corporate Risk is responsible for developing the steady state risk management programme, in line with the requirements of SOER 2015-2, ensuring adequate coverage of Risk Information exists across the organisation, both in availability of data and quality of data to ensure analysis and reporting requirements of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function are fulfilled.
1. Development and implementation of the ERM framework (“Steady State”)
Support the ERM Manager in the development of the ERM Framework to ensure its alignment with the business requirements.
Lead alignment of risk management for the organisation in repose to SOER 2015-2.
Facilitate the implementation of the ERM process with VP's, and Functional Managers to minimize the organisation's risk exposure.
Develop and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management documentation (including process descriptions, procedures, guidance and reference documents) to ensure accuracy and efficiency in line with the business's requirements.
Provide training and mentoring on the Enterprise Risk Management process and information management systems to support organizational capability development.
2. Development of the Risk Management Culture
Develop an engaged Enterprise Risk Management community to ensure the Enterprise Risk Management process is aligned with business needs and integrated within the organization.
Provide training and mentoring on the Enterprise Risk Management process and information management systems to support organizational capability development.
Practice and encourage open and effective communication internally and externally in order to build and nurture effective cross-functional working relationships from contributors level to Senior Management.
3. Active Risk Manager (ARM) Subject Matter Knowledge
Maintain cognizance of the Active Risk Manager (ARM) configuration settings and advise the ERM risk identification team to promote the most efficient use of the capabilities available.
Resolve, and escalate to the ARM administrator as appropriate, the bugs and issues faced by the users to support seamless implementation of the risk management process.
4. Risk Coverage and Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and maintain an approved coverage methodology to ensure that the correct level of risk information is maintained across the organisation.
Develop and maintain an approved Combined Assurance Framework to optimize oversight and assurance activities.
Develop and maintain control effectiveness standards to provide increased assurance in the development of the Combined Assurance Framework
Develop and maintain relationships with Senior Management to support effective organisational usage of the process.
5. Risk Reporting
Support the development of an ERM performance monitoring tool to ensure the appropriate oversight is in place to govern the data quality within ARM.
Support the review and enhancement of risk management reporting formats through engagement with the wider organisation.
Support development of risk reports for Executive Committees in line with the business needs and requirements to support Executive decision making.
Support the Executive Risk Management Committee's Secretary (ERM Manager) in facilitating the meetings preparation and organisation.
Practice and encourage open and effective communication internally and externally in order to build and nurture effective cross-functional working relationships from contributors level to Senior Management.
Develop an engaged Enterprise Risk Management community to ensure the Enterprise Risk Management process is aligned with business needs and integrated within the organization.
Bachelor in Business Management, Risk Management, Engineering, Social Sciences, Finance, or equivalent.
Risk (ERM, Credit Risk or Project Risk) Management accreditation
5 years risk management, and/or compliance experience
Preferred:
Master degree in the same areas.
5 years experience in the nuclear industry.
