Accountable at the group company and its subsidiaries with a total company accommodated workforce of around 800 employees comprising blue (skilled and unskilled) and white collar (staff).

Job Details

Duties Include

  • Liaison with government, statutory and regulatory authorities (Municipalities, Ministry of Labor, MOHRE, Civil Defense, Police etc.)
  1. Strategy Implementation: Implementing the Camp & Welfare Management plan to better service the Department’s Goals & Objectives in a cost-efficient manner. Overlooking all operations.
  2. Welfare Management: Periodic designing of welfare SOP, plan and procedures. Development of concurrent welfare schedules as required. Manage inspection and audits related to welfare by internal /3rd party auditors and close out. Manage welfare services for special projects. Welfare inspection of new camps prior to hiring. Prepare annual welfare progress report / presentations for further development. Welfare Committee, Recreation halls, playgrounds, safety, facilities, are well maintained. Supervise/ support welfare team in with counselling, grievance handling, medical assistance, etc.
  3. Cost Control: Responsible to follow up all rectification plans and the preparation of the necessary progress reports against the rectification plans, according to the specified time and cost limit. Negotiate with the suppliers. Overlooking Cost Reports.
  4. Developing others: Strategically (training, planning, procedure) logistically (transfers, food handler medicals, leaves, back from leaves). Making sure each supervisor / department is doing the required job in the most efficient methods.
  5. Camp Assets Inventory: Supervise and make sure that company assets are maintained and logged.
  6. Camp Visits: As and when required visit/ inspect camps (kitchen, office, stores, rooms…). conduct meetings with supervisors. Check overall progress. Attending all inspection by client, Municipality, Civil Defence, MOL.
  7. Accommodation Management: Ensure the smooth running of accommodation facilities, including the safety and wellbeing of the staff. Communicate with the allocation team to coordinate and plan the allocation of employees in different camps as deemed.
  8. Compliance: Manage, support and direct all camp staff in line with normal operating procedures and code of conduct. Ensuring that all Camps’ matters follow HSE, Company, Food Control Authority, Municipality, Civil Defence, MOL, and all laws and regulations.
  9. HSEQ: Promote good health, safety and environmental practices throughout Company. Provide, or where necessary source, training for staff in relation to health and safety policies, practice and procedures. Liaise with the Health and Safety department to ensure Company policies, practices and procedures meet their requirements.
  10. General Tasks: Perform any other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Line Manager.
