SPECIALIST GEOMECHANICAL
Detailed Description
- Advises on quality control monitoring tools to ensureadherence to recognized industry and Company standards for his/ her area ofexpertise.
- Acts as authority on his/ her specialist area of Geophysicsand ensures that lessons learned are shared with all Teams.
- Designs, participates and provide expert technical advice onall activities related to processing, reprocessing and analysis of seismicdata. Verifies the technical integrity of processing and reprocessing testingprograms and the resulting data of seismic surveys to ensure quality ofprocessed data. Participates in the preparation of tenders documents andcontract packages for seismic data acquisition/processing.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- BSc./Master degree in petro-technical discipline, advanced degree is preferable.
- 15 years in petro-technical discipline (ReservoirEngineering, Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience), of which 5 years in aspecialist role. International experience is preferable.
- Track record in maturing and applying new technologies andparticipation in R& D projects. Professional Certifications
Technical Competencies:
- Decisionsare endorsed by Discipline Manager and VP-TC, according to level of authority.
- Worksindependently while guided by the overall corporate strategy, companyobjectives and policies.
- Utilizesinterdisciplinary data, builds integrated earth models to optimize drilling andhelp reservoir characterization and simulation studies.
- Technicalmentor to other petroleum/production engineering staff and fresh graduates.
