PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluates and makes recommendations for improvement and approval of field development plans.
• Participates in the implementation of Company short and long term plans related to the exploration and developments of Hydrocarbon resources within Offshore/Onshore areas by providing geological support and services.
• Follows up and evaluates current and future Geological operations and Geological models for OPCOs and SPC Companies.
• Reviews and evaluates undeveloped fields/reservoirs as well as provides technical advice directly to Reservoir Engineering Management.

WORK PERFORMED

• Ensures proper implementation of Company short and long term plans in Offshore/Onshore and provides recommendations to protect Compnmay interests
• Provides recommendations for exploration and reservoir geological studies to be conducted by the Operating Companies in the Offshore/Onshore areas.
• Participates in meetings and workshops concerning exploration and reservoir developments and provides recommendations and advice that conform to Company interests.
• Reviews OPCOs and SPC Companies’ reports on reservoir geological activities and provides recommendations accordingly.
• Reviews geological reports and studies conducted for the OPCOs and SPC Companies by consultants and shareholders and provides technical comments and recommendations accordingly.
• Follows up and participates in the preparation of required information for Compnay gas development wells to be drilled in the Offshore/Onshore areas.
• Follows up the Geological operations of the OPCOs and SPC Companies’ exploration and Company gas development wells in the Offshore/Onshore areas.
• Reviews OPCOs and SPC Companies’ reports/proposals for drilling exploratory and appraisal wells and comments accordingly.
• Participates in Company, OPCOs and SPC Companies regional and local geological studies that promote the hydrocarbon potential of the Offshore/Onshore areas and generates new prospects.

• Participates with the reservoir engineers in identifying problematic areas within the developed and undeveloped reservoirs.
• Receives and reviews regular reports on OPCOs and SPC Companies’ geological activities and ensures that they are in conformity with Compnay interests.
• Assesses and follows up feasible options and scenarios related to the development of new fields and reservoirs.
• Performs other similar or related duties as assigned by Management such as conducting special assignments/studies, etc.

WORK CONTACTS

• Daily contacts with members within Reservoir Engineering Division and other E&P Divisions.
• Frequent contacts with OPCOs and SPC Companies up to Team Leader level to exchange and review geological matters.
• Regular contacts with peers in OPCOs, SPC Companies and Shareholders to share knowledge and best practices.
• Occasional contacts with consultants and contractors as required for geological studies.

INDEPENDENCE OF OPERATION

• Reports to Manager, Offshore/Onshore Reservoir Engineering.
• Works in accordance to Company general policy.
• Exercises own initiative on technical discussions and reviews.
• Refers main issues to Reservoir Engineering Management.

PHYSICAL EFFORT :

• Minimal with occasional standing and walking when outdoors.
• Occasional site visits to the fields.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

• Normally A/C environment with some working time spent outdoors.

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor Science in Geology.
• 10 years’ related experience in Geological activities including field and office in Geological studies and Geological Operations.
• Extensive experience in the Reservoir Characterization Studies and 3D Geological Modeling.
• Competency in English language.
• Computer literate; well versed in the office applications and presentation tools.

Preference given to Localy Avaliable Candidates in the United Arab Emirates and who can join immediatly
