ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational
1 Check equipment and vehicles for damage, repair and water capacity and ensure proper follow up as required
2 Ensure proper staffing and equipment at every shift while ensuring proper handing over to the next fire officer
3 Coordinate with the station officer in order to train the team on firefighting techniques including how to operate vehicles and equipment (in theory and in practice)
4 Liaise with the Civil Defense for training purposes on fire fighting and emergency services purposes
5 Supervise fire fighters in case of fire for reporting and feedback purposes (while ensuring proper escalation to the Fire Service Manager)
6 Ensure that fire fighters are adhering to the fire Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and reporting to the station officer
7 Fulfill the role of any team member (e.g. fire fighter, fire driver, etc.) in case of shortage, emergency, etc. as required
8 Undertake spot checks of equipment, vehicles and test the proficiency of the team as well as implement remedial actions as needed to address deficiencies and ensure the highest standards in firefighting operations

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & CERTIFICATIONS
Minimum Education Required
• At least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
Professional Certifications Required
• Certifications relevant to discipline.
QUALIFICATIONS
Years of experience
• An average of 4 years of relevant experience.
