Provide fire protection work supervision throughout the planning, execution and post close-out phases of fire protection activities for the Nuclear Power Plant as per the regulatory requirements, operating policies and principles, nuclear standards for nuclear safety, industrial safety, and environmental protection.

• Set management expectations and communicate with department to ensure high level of fire safety and reliability of the plant safe shutdown systems and fire areas
• Monitor and coach to improve the plant's O&M performance
• Evaluate performance of O&M individual staff to develop necessary training
• Ensure training programs provide necessary technical knowledge and skills
• Provide training feedback on program effectiveness with evaluation of operator performance
• Oversight Fire Protection Management System (FPMS)
• Review Fire Protection Analysis/ Fire Hazard Analysis (FHA)
• Provide technical expertise to develop and implement engineering analysis
• Provide technical expertise through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
• Develop FP procedures/guidelines for the nuclear plant as required
• Develop FP-FHA training program to ensure appropriate awareness across the organization
Ensure the following tasks are performed timely and with quality to achieve highest level of safety and reliability in the fire protection area.
• Review the combustible materials and ignition source o Operate the fire protection integrating system
• Review the Fire Protection Report (i.e. FHA/FSSA)
• Evaluation of design change related fire protection
•Tasks for Safety Shutdown Analysis
• Periodical evaluation and revision
• Perform the surveillance for Site Fire protection
• Temporary storage condition of combustible materials
• Review the fire protection procedures to be performed properly
• Review the fire suppression systems and components' condition
• Review the fire protection plan
• Review action guides for an Initial Fire Response Team and measures for fire suppression in each fire area
• Review the fire accident report and keeps fire-related records
• Manages regulatory requirements associated with fire protection facilities and operation of the facilities
• Checks and maintains equipment for early fire suppression responses.
• Review the education of plant employees
• Review education and training of the plant fire protection engineers and an initial fire response team
