PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Purpose:

• Supervises guides and plans to maintain high availability and reliability of Fire & Gas Field devices/ systems belonging to Company Field Process, Storex, Industrial and Nonindustrial areas by investigating, analyzing, trouble shooting, rectifying faults and breakdown within the shortest possible time.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Supervises, performs and controls Fire & Gas activities related to plant maintenance and schemes within Das Island and sites.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on all fields devices, as defined within the company's Maintenance Management System (MAXIMO), ensuring all (F&G) installations are suitably maintained as per Company guidelines & international standards.
• Maintains communication network linking all detection devices to the supervisory systems installed in the emergency services control room and central control building (CCB).
• Maintains (C.C.T.V) system installed to monitor Company flares, storex & process areas.
• Maintains various types of fire detection systems such as optical, ionization smoke detectors VESDNHSSD and gas detection systems used for toxic and combustible gases.
• Offers technical advice and produces comprehensive technical reports. Analyzes preventive maintenance schedule, recommends enhancements to the procedures, maintenance intervals to achieve maximum reliability and availability of the fire & gas systems.
• Investigates and supports corrective maintenance, troubleshooting on any faulty equipment associated with fire and gas detection. Attends in regards to minimize the breakdown time in a safe and cost effective manner.
• Implements approved plant modifications. Ensures the installation complies with the relevant standard & codes of practice. Updates all relevant drawings and documentations.
• Assists and supports the maintenance contractors in carrying out routine maintenance work in accordance to the approved scope of work and as per Company guidelines.
• Handles all CMMS (MAXIMO) daily activities such as updating the planned preventive I corrective maintenance.
• Performs periodic checks of spare parts stock levels by raising necessary requisition to ensure spares availability.
• Assures the development of UAE Nationals and assists them technically in F & G Field during day to day activities.
• Assures the availability of minimum critical stocks on site and follow up with Das Maintenance Support Team Leader (MSTL) for pending items under material request.
• Works in line with HSE policy, and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.

Communications & Organisational Relationships:

• Daily contacts with Control Maintenance Section Leader, Control System Engineer, Control/ Electrical and AC supervisors on Das Island.
• Liaises with Operations personnel in all areas of work permits and work strategy and with Fire Rescue Team in case of emergency/call out conditions or implementation of built up strategy.
• Frequent Contacts with ADMA-OPCO Engineering & Technical Support as well as Vendors for various projects & plant modification.
• Works according to Company's established policies and professional/engineering standards. Takes initiative when studying and providing appropriate recommendations

Minimum Requirements [Knowledge Skills & Experience]:

•  Secondary Education followed by 2 years formal training leading to Diploma in Electronics, Electrical or Instrumentation Technologies.
• 5 - 6 years experience in Oil & Gas Sector, Including minimum 2 years in a supervisory posts.
• Experience in Fire & Gas detection devices, systems/PLC knowledge of fire and gas control systems and fire detection technologies with knowledge of computer systems.
• Proficient in English .

Preference given to Applicants with Offshore work Experience and who can join immediately
