Job Purpose:

 

Leads plans and controls the Electrical Operations Team through detailed engineering, construction and commissioning for a wide range of electrical equipment for operations and maintenance activities of the Facilities.

 

Ensures safe and efficient operation whilst meeting Company Maintenance and Strategy Policy.

 

Principle Accountabilities:

Leads plans and supervises the activities of personnel assigned to plant / field operations in electrical HV and LV domains.

 

 

Performs supervisory duties and exercises financial authority at the level established by management for the position.

 

Plans, directs and controls the equipment maintenance of the ULSC and WHT’s, Power generation normal and Emergency. Gas injection and water injection plants ensuring safe and efficient operations and achieving injection targets and electrical power. Air and quality requirements are met.

 

Reviews I studies performance of equipment reliability & availability of the Oil & Gas, water injection and Power production plants.

 

Highlights problem areas / shortcomings and recommends to supervisor appropriate corrective measures to enhance I promote performance. Including modification [fabrication work etc.

 

Evaluates technically. engineering packages/proposals initiated by Discipline Engineering Division's and l or Asset Field Operations Support Divisions engineers including: surveying the field / plant highlighting discrepancies/anomalies and recommending appropriate alternatives supported with necessary engineering drawing,

 

Maintains plant and equipment in a fit—for purpose condition through implementation of maintenance schedules and maintenance procedures. Prepares long and short-term plans of preventive maintenance work for all electrical equipment‘s on the Super Complex. Ensures all remedial actions for NMI I Internal and external audits / under his responsibility are prioritized and cleared in a reasonable time.

 

Directs. leads and follows-up preventive / breakdown maintenance work and commissioning of electrical equipment / facilities on the Super Complex and WHTs including rotating machinery, turbines, pumps, accommodation and safety systems, cranes etc.

 

Coordinates with all other discipline Team‘s maintenance work, determines priorities, ensures efficient implementation and coordination of maintenance programs and takes necessary actions in case of deviations.

 

Ensures availability of spare parts, reviews inventories to maintain approximate stock level. Initiates & approves (CPR’s, MR‘s and CR‘s) for materials and manpower services.

 

Supervises maintenance I repair works carried out by contractors on the Super Complex and WHT’s to ensure compliance with specifications, code of practice and scope of work determined, recommends acceptance of completion.

 

Initiate required PMRs to modify the Electrical systems as and when required. Ensures implementation of all modifications, maintenance and fabrication works are carried out on the Production plant areas in adherence to the Company's Standards and set specifications.

 

Supervises and personally participates when necessary. in re-commissioning in liaison with Lead Inspection Engineer certifies satisfactory completion of work.

 

Prepares monitors and controls the Teams operating budget and ensures variances are within company’s Financial KPI.

 

Reviews and approves recommendations on appropriate technical actions to secure appropriate running of equipment and plants. Analyses plants performance and maintenance costs statistics provided by Integrity Division and recommends improvement of Maintenance Strategies and spare parts stock utilization. Approves subordinates proposals of modifications required and methods of improvements.

 

Participates in maintenance planning by reviewing/reporting anticipated future requirements of overhauls, maintenance, repairs and spare parts. Changing frequency of inspection according to work requirements and updating work identification system of routing maintenance and regular checks to rectify defects.

 

Uses EAMS/FMS/ETAP/PMS Work Station and systems. Ensures efficient monitoring / checking of entire Electrical network and equipment performance, inspects / investigates abnormalities and recommends appropriate actions.

 

Participates in commissioning of new installations in conjunction with the relevant Project Team Leaders.

 

Coordinates with Integrity Division the initiation and preparation of major work packages.

 

Ensures proper adherence and implementation of the HSE program, site waste management system and subordinates adherence to established company‘s procedures, regulations and standards. Works to agreed action plans and group objectives.

 

Monitors and evaluates the reliability of rotating machinery and develops performance measurement tools. Ensures appropriate implementation of the developed performance measurement tools.

 

Ensures appropriate implementation of the developed OPERGUID procedures for plant operation & maintenance and makes ensure regular review and update of procedures for optimization and safe operations.

 

 

Guides, directs and supervises subordinates to ensure they work to their best potential and  contribute effectively as a team.

 

Minimum Requirements Knowledge Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical. Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

10 - 12 Years' experience in the operation and/or maintenance of offshore Oil & Gas production  facilities including 0&G overall process systems, Power Generation and heavy Power machinery (including gas turbines and Diesel Generators), proved experience in Power Management systems, HV and LV switchgears, UPS etc.

 

Good knowledge of English language.
