PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Purpose:

• Plans and co-ordinates all electrical & A/C maintenance activities and provides overall supervision over the operation. Maintains and repairs entire Company electrical distribution network, equipment, and associated ancillary equipment and A/C systems within the purview of Company on Field. Controls and supervises the day to day operations of Company electrical distribution network and A/C systems covering 57 Sub-stations. Co-ordinates with Group Company for the security of power supplies for all Company areas and monitor the performance of Power System Integration (PSI) agreement.

Principal Accountabilities

• Controls the activities related to plant maintenance and schemes of electrical & A/C systems and equipment. Performs overall supervisory responsibilities for all electrical and A/C activities within Company Field.
• Ensures all activities carried out in accordance with HSE Management System, HSE Regulations, Operation and Maintenance Procedures as per Company Maintenance Policy and Strategy.
• Liaises regularly with Planning Engineers, Engineering and Operation Authorities regarding the plant maintenance, schemes to achieve the set target requirement in a cost effective and safe manner.
• Participates in preparation of the normal operating budget, major maintenance and capital budget for all Electrical Maintenance activities within Company Asset.
• Controls and monitors the expenditure of Electrical & A/C activities to meet the budget target.
• Guides and assists Electrical Supervisors in their reviews on all the maintainability issues related to electrical & air conditioning systems.
• Analyzes the Preventive maintenance schedule, recommends enhancements to the procedure. Maintains intervals to achieve maximum reliability and availability of the Electrical and A/C systems.
• Supports Electrical & A/C Section members as required to attend troubleshooting to minimize down time of equipment / systems cost effectively and safely. Complies with set target of Integrity Assurance KPI (Integrity and Safety Critical Systems Compliance).
• Ensures all electrical & A/C related maintenance inputs are well prepared regarding planned major overhauls.
• Controls PMR packages implementation, programming, and material procurement and recommends updating of the relevant controlled drawings and documents.
• Participates in Hand-over/pre-commissioning/commissioning of new schemes for Electrical and A/C.
•  Reviews the HSE Scope of Work of Electrical Works. Attends regular Safety meetings. Participates in Risk Assessments and HAZOP. Acts as Area Authority for Company Electrical systems and Substations on Company Island.

• Monitors changes in hazardous area classification and ensure all electrical equipments used are suitable for area classification.
• Monitors and controls the training of all UAE Nationals Electrical Supervisors and Technicians under development. Participates in the assessment and verification of CAMS Developers.
• Guides, directs and supervises subordinates to ensure they work to their best potential and contribute effectively as a team. Works in line with HSE Policy, and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.

Communication & Organizational Relationships:

• Liaises with Control and Mechanical Maintenance Section Leaders on Company Island to coordinate plant and major maintenance activities.
• Liaises with Operations Authorities up to Company Process Section Leader and Storex & Loading Team Leader level to agree P.M. routine schedule intervals and discuss any plant abnormalities.
• Liaises with Engineering and Projects Team up to Engineering and Projects Team Leader level to co-ordinate enhancement of Electrical distribution system and equipment.
• Liaises with General Support and Projects Team members up to General Support and Projects Team Leader level to co-ordinate enhancement of the site activities.
• Liaises with Commercial Division (Procurement, Contracts, Warehouse), as necessary, co-ordinate material requests and services for routine/major maintenance activities.
• Liaises with Group Company Operations and Maintenance staff in dealing with power restorations, switching, isolations and network improvement activities.
• Normal contacts with Financial Controller, Planning, Integrity, CAMS, HR and Logistics authorities within Company .
• Works according to Company’s established policy, procedures approved work programs and professional engineering standards.

Minimum Requirements [Knowledge Skills & Experience]:

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8-9 years experience with 5 years in oil or petrochemical industry.
• Very good knowledge of English.

Preference given to Applicants with Offshore work Experience and who can join immediately
