Job Purpose:

Provides Electrical Engineering support to ensure Asset's Input is properly encapsulation into the design for Projects in ASSESS I SELECT I EXECUTE Stage with appropriate liaison within Asset, as required. Participates in the p Participates in the preparation and development of the Operations Maintenance and Integrity Philosophy for the every project during the SELECT stage and ensures that it is updated during the entire project cycle by providing Asset's input from an electrical engineering standard point.

Principal Accountabilities:

Provides electrical engineering support during pre-projects stage (SELECT) by reviewing of various options and provides Asset's inputs during the development of these options by review of the documentation, SOR, SOW and DSPs. Provides Electrical Engineering input into PEER Reviews I Studies initiated within division. 

Reviews Electrical Engineering Document submittals during DEFINE I EXECUTE and Injects Asset's Input into the design.

Reviews design changes during the EXECUTE phase and provides Asset's viewpoint on their acceptability or otherwise in close liaison with the technical authorities.

Participates in all Major Engineering reviews like Equipment & Piping Layout review, EHAZOP's, HAZID's, and PHSSER's.

Provides Electrical Engineering support to Execution Assurance Team during precommissioning, commissioning, start-up of Project Facilities up to Project Hand over.

Participates in the preparation of Operations Readiness Plans for projects and provides support during subsequent follow-up I closure. Provides Electrical Engineering support during project handover and warranty period related to punch list items or operational problems that requires contacting vendors and I or Project Management Teams.

Provides feedback to various technical authorities about any changes I amendments to existing codes I standards based on operations experiences / lesson learnt. Participates in the pre-qualification exercise for contractors and vendors during the project implementation cycle, if required, to inject asset's inputs I expectations.

Participates when nominated in the factory acceptance tests as an asset's representative. 

Participates along with the Execution Assurance Team in raising punch list items during various walk through, platform sites visits and their categorization and closure.

Participates in risk assessments and review methods statements for tie-ins and injects asset's inputs.

Provides support & challenges the Assessment of shutdown requirements for various project activities and suggests alternative execution methods for reduction of frequency and duration of shutdowns.

Attends HSE meetings, risk assessments and participates in review as appropriate. 

Participates in the development of National graduates under CAMS Scheme I juniors by coaching them and identifies the training needs and work opportunities to close performance gaps for individuals in their PDP.

Participates in various task forces as directed by the team leader I line manager. Trains UAE Nationals in the field electrical engineering. Identifies and recommends innovative techniques intending to achieve cost saving I enhanced performance.

Guides, directs and supervises subordinates to ensure they work to their best potential and contribute effective! as a Team.

Minimum Requirements [Knowledge Skills & Experience]:

Bachelor Degree in relevant Electrical Engineering discipl ine or equivalent.

5 - 6 years' experience in Oil & Gas I Petrochemical / chemical plants. Experience in 11 kV/ 6.6 kV I HV I LV Switchgear design I installation. Personal PC skills and Stress Analysis software .
