Job Description |
1. Implement dive plans in liaison with client, barge/vessel teams and marine superintendents. 2. Monitor safety of dive teams and ensure that the diving operation is carried out from a suitable and safe place as per diving operation manual. 3. Supervise diving operations ensuring they comply with NPCC dive management systems and legal requirements of HSE & AODC (Association Offshore Diving Contractors) in accordance with IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) recommendations. 4. Check all diving equipment for valid in-date certification to ensure their suitability for intended projects. 5. Ensure divers’ competence and fitness on a regular basis. 6. Ensure that the mobilization of diving spread (diving equipment and personnel) is carried out in a timely manner. 7. Update logs, keep records and prepare accurate reports in compliance with Company & IMCA standards. 8. Ensure that all possible foreseeable risks have been evaluated and are fully understood by all relevant parties and implement hazards action. 9. Compliance in accordance with IMCA & Company codes and HSE standards. 10. Responsible for the continuous training of dive teams. |
Skills Required | • 8 years’ experience in the diving industry offshore inclusive of 5 years of experience as diver and 3 years of experience as offshore air diver supervisor. • Completion of 200 hours as Trainee Supervisor on air control panel. • Valid HSE Part 1 or equivalent. • Valid IMCA module 2. • Valid certificate of air diving supervisor training course. • Current & valid IMCA Air Diving Supervisor certificate. • Current & valid offshore medical certificate. • Current & valid offshore survival valid certificate. • Basic knowledge of operation of DP (Dynamic Positioning) systems, construction barges and DSV (Dive Support Vessel). • Good English communication skills. • Must be proficient with IMCA code of practice and work standards. • Must be able to work in a team and a remote environment. • Must be proficient with IMCA code of practice and work standards. |
