Job Details

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
·        Oversight of a multi Bn programme  incorporating  multiple sites plus spent fuel liabilities at the Company -
·        Assurance of new nuclear build decommissioning plans and cost estimates for each site as they arise including ensuring robustness of process and outcome to possible Judicial Review and NGO scrutiny  
·        Directly support the Head of Programme
·        Support the development of Government policy towards decommissioning and spent fuel management
Cost Assurance and Analysis to:-
·        Provide first point of contact for high level finance and contractual assurance matters to support the Head of Programme 
·        Develop and implement a Contract Management Plan 
·        Provide financial and operational reports of expenditure and performance
·        Manage the day to day relationship with Commercial teams and undertake commercial oversight and assurance as the scope of work grows.
·        Undertake (monthly) analysis of costs due for recharge.
·        Lead cross-functional assurance reviews in a matrix environment of decommissioning plans, developing and negotiating for the quality underpinning of these plans and developing robust assurance arrangements. Establishing appropriate overheads allocation methodology and reviewing cost estimates and their underpinning methodology;
Provide first point of contact for high level cost assurance matters to support the Head of Programme regarding the approvability of new nuclear developer’s decommissioning and waste management plans.
 
Qualifications & Experience 
·        Educated to degree standard or equivalent
·        Desirable: MCIPS and/or Qualified CCAB member
·        Practical commercial management experience in a contracting business, manufacturing or commercial operation (or equivalent) with experience of working in a number of varied roles will be required. Role ideally requires financial and management accounting experience and contract management skills.
·        Ability to be able to work with detailed numbers where necessary, to be able to use numbers at a macro- level in the context of the business, and to know which approach is appropriate
·        Key skills include: the ability to analyse financial issues and develop appropriate solutions, diplomatic, persuasive and unbiased communication skills, negotiation skills and good team working style in cross functional teams.
·        Experience in working within Cost reimbursable, Target Cost and Fixed Price Contractual arrangements.
·        Ability to liaise closely with senior officers

·        Ability to build and maintain  strong credible relationships with colleagues, external partners and senior stakeholders
·        The ability to analyse, interpret and appropriately utilise a range of  financial information 
·        Highly developed interpersonal skills including the confidence and ability to relate to and influence peers and senior stakeholders, and to lead cross-functional teams.
·        Possess demonstrable business and commercial negotiating skills and knowledge of complex strategic contracts management
·        Strong presence with professional credibility and emotional intelligence, and the ability to challenge constructively
·        Strong motivation, resilience and a positive mental attitude
 
The post will require regular travel to offices and its power stations.
