Provides technical advice and support, Design, approval and implementation of Contract Strategies
Job Details
Your main duties will be to:
Negotiation of contracts; terms and conditions, risk allocation, and remuneration formats in line with strategy.
Preparation of final contract documents, drafting of internal recommendations, obtaining approval and execution of final contract.
Drafts appropriate contractual and commercial terms & conditions to best serve and protect Company’s interests
Reviews and amends standard contract documentation as required
Builds and maintain relationships with suppliers in order to secure positive, constructive and cost effective commercial agreements for the Company
Provides general assistance & advice on contractual & procurement matters as required to support Company’s operations
Monitors the performance of service providers on a regular basis.
Provide Contract-related issue resolution, both internally and externally
Administer the contract through its life cycle including long term performance management where applicable. This may include; rate reviews, amendments, variations, milestone payments, completion/handover obligations, dispute resolution.
Raising of Purchase Orders/Call Offs from approved requisitions, applying appropriate diligence in pricing and terms and conditions.
Providing key support to the contract managers, advisors and other stakeholders in the performance management of the contract portfolio.
Profile Ideally, you will have a University degree in Business or Engineering with Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience in contracts, agreements related to industrial projects/ refineries.
Experience in Shutdown/Turnaround activities or contracts preparations.
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work effectively.
Strong analytical ability.
Ability of giving strong attention to details.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Strong computer skills and good working experience with ERP systems.
Good command of oral and written English. Proficiency in Arabic Language is a big Plus.
Candidate criteria Minimum level of education required E-Bachelor or equivalent
Have a strong engineering (industrial – oil and Gas) background with a minimum 5-10 years’ experience in project contracts negotiation-management allowing to address the risks from Tendering period up to the award and completion of the projects.
