ROLE PURPOSE
The Role shall manage and oversee all strategic contract
activities of Terminal Operations at the Airport. This includes Investment
committee and TVC submissions, Compliance with the Airport procurement
processes, management and tracking of SLAs as well as execution of applicable
penalties for SLA non-compliance

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning
·
Initiate procurement process for
contracts reaching its’ end of term without risk to contract overrun in terms
of duration and costs
·
Ensure contracts are always valid
and compliant
• Budget Management
·
Input in sectional budget and
monitor budget spend
·
Coordinate and control monthly spend
on contracts and ensure SLA penalties are effected
Corporate Performance Management
·
Oversee the performance of contractors as per
contra
·
Engage with the department head and AMC Expert
to identify opportunities to improve section’s performance
People Management
·
Ensure availability of the required number of
specialized staff to support the section by providing inputs to annual manpower
plan in consultation with division/department head
Functional
·
Coordinate preparation of concept plans,
functional briefings including specifications and standards for all contracts
related to the Terminal Operations department to ensure the Airport and
customer requirements are met
·
Complete weekly and monthly reports on the
performance of contractors
·
Monitor and manage SLA between Terminal
Operations and related contractor
·
Ensure compliance to procurement and contract
management policies
·
Initiate and ensure payments to contractors are
compliant and completed timeously
·
Prepare all reports and presentations for
submissions into Investment Committee and TVC
Organizational
Governance
·
Ensure adherence and execution of the
department’s policies and procedures as defined by the department head
·
Ensure compliance of the section to the
guidelines defined by division/department’s, such as, HR, legal, risk and
quality assurance in addition to the Airport framework and DoA
·
Participate and provide inputs in the periodic
audit of the established policies and procedures to ensure compliance
Management Reporting
·
Prepare periodic reports for the section and
provide input into the division/department's periodic reports
·
Propose and recommend remedial activities to
manage any quality or non-compliance issues that arise during the review of
periodic reports
Change Management
·
Own/drive change management activities in the
section and ensure all stakeholder communications are as per the approved
communication plan
Technology Management
·
Identify and define the technology-related needs
of the section in order to drive automation and cost optimization
Professional Development
·
Participate in performance appraisals and
reflect on the feedback and recommendations provided by the line manager for
development
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
·
Expatriates:
Bachelor's Degree in Airport Management or a related field (Minimum 4 years of
experience in Terminal Operations)
·
UAE
nationals: Bachelor's Degree in Airport Management or a related field
(Minimum 3 years of experience in Terminal Operations)
